With the new administration coming into the White House and congress, I'm predicting that there will be incentives given to the production of bio-diesel. The new administration wants to get away from producing fuels that are fossil based (from crude oil). The reason for this question is that most of my income derives from the production of diesel. If the market conditions change, I may have to change or tweak my business model.
What is your prediction?

My prediction is an insane amount of money pumped into green energy. Solar power and electric vehicles to be exact. I've been loading up on Tesla for awhile now. I fully expect it to moon in the next 10 years.
I don't know a lot about bio-diesel but if the dems stay in power for 8 years its going to be a sad 8 years for oilfield related industries.

You’re concerned about refineries in your area shutting down or something along those lines?
US diesel consumption in 2019 was 1.5billion barrels and production was around 1.8billion barrels. The National Biodiesel Board hopes to be producing around 150million barrels by 2050
Transitioning 1.5billion barrels of demand will take a long af time, and I don’t think throwing an EV adoption curve on there would bring the timeframe into a spot where we’d need to be overly concerned about it right now

The refinery in my town has a sister refinery about 150 miles away. They are currently converting their hydrocracker to produce biodiesel. When that is complete, they are going to do something else in order to utilize fryer oil and other renewables to produce bio-diesel. If it is successful at the other refinery, the company is going to do the same with the refinery in my town (Coffeyville KS).
Keeping refinery contractors in my furnished rental properties is the main goal.
