many games have elements of chance/percentages, but are still very strategic. Pokemon is one of those games. Part of the strategy is in determining your chances in regards to specific moves, or what you expect your opponent to do. Every rpg I can think of does that as well, including fire emblem.
BTW, I'm awful at competitive pokemon as well. It's hard.-Engineering Crew

lmao i feel you. but the top level players in competitive pokemon arent kids, its a bit more complex than that. though i get what youre saying i can pretty much assure you im not playing kids lol. i play on pokemon showdown
I don't disagree with anything you said, you're right. It's just hard to accept when you play your cards right and you get fuc*ed by rng. im tilted AF
brb, you are paralyzed 4x in a row.
brb missing a 75% hit chance move 4 times in a row.
brb 10% freeze proc on you
brb constantly getting crit while u get 0 crits.
brb 1/256 miss on 100% accuracy move (generation 1)
sure the better players win more often than other players. I climbed to I'd like to say a respectful level in generation 1 pokemon. but just shoot me when i go on a losing streak to low level players because of bad luck, its absolutely pissening.Warriors fan since 2005.
curry, klay, green, durant, iggy. lol @ other nba teams 73-9
