Beard? No beard? Short stubbly beard?
I was beardless all my life until 2020 then needed a hobby so gave it a go. Not shaving was great but it was so grey I think it makes me look old? But then I am old, so maybe that is appropriate. Also maybe it makes me look more intellectual, which might in my job?
Misc l00kists and fashion advisors plz advise ... what do in 2021?
A heap of pics below for you to judge.

yeah i've seen this one. but i don't see the value added of the length feature - it's not like i want to choose a variance of stubble lengths on any given day. for me, i always want the raw trimmer at level zero - looks good 7 days a week if you trim on Mondays and Thursdays. also, not sure the build quality/motor/blades of Conair can match my Philips Norelco.

My conair needs to be replaced every 3 years
I prefer having a set length
I don’t grow thick facial hair so being able to specifically set it to 3mm will give me a fuller look whereas some guy with thicker facial hair will only need to set to 1.5mm
Everyday I have my ideal stubble right to the exact mm (millimetre)

You remind me of Willem Defoe in a couple of pics and of Jocko in the second-last pic.
Check out Rich Cooper from the Youtube channel "Entrepreneurs in Cars". I don't like the guy but his beard game is on point. But only go for this kind of beard if you're going to keep your head shaved. I'd also consider getting a tan and dying the beard a natural light brown colour while leaving some grey here and there.
You can at least give the look a try and see if it suits you and how you feel.
