Playing old video games (if you have the means) it kinda takes you back to the days you were playing it for the first time.
Like I booted up Fallout New Vegas last night, and DAMN, the nostalgia hit me hard in the feels.
Such feel!!!!"Honor is something that all men are born with. It cannot be taken from you nor can it be granted. It must only not be lost."

certain movies that have the "feel" of an era - bad boys, heat, the game, american psycho, etc
certain music that are attached to old routines or experiences - mid-late 2000s vocal trance will forever be associated with peak misc and fond university memories, some pop songs fall into that last category too - metal attached to the entire period of time where i was competitively playing sports etc
some old games can be a literal interactive window into old feels - grew up on og pc games and came of age in the half life universe up to cs:source, first ever mmorpg was earth and beyond in 2001 and shut down in 2002 but lives on in a small emulator with around 10-20 people playing still, major feel trips almost 20 years later
i hold on to some old clothes/accessories that used to be staples to be reminded of old ways of life etc
drive an old bmw and know the chassis like the literal back of my hand since its the 4th one ive had - consider it a link to when i first bought and started working on my first car and learned more all the way til now - i keep some significant parts from old ones like the engine block, crank, and pistons from one that i turned into a coffee table, old seats that i turned into recliners and a love seat, old keys, small things like parts that broke or were catalysts for major growth
have nostalgia about some scars srs
usually its the things that are reminders of something that no longer is, but once was that have the biggest hold
i like to think of it like my heart is this big house that's been built up over all these years and sometimes its nice to go back and visit the old hallways that i used to walk day in and day out and have since been empty - sometimes i recognize a room and want to go in and dive a little deeper into the nostalgia and its great when that opportunity allows - but - sometimes i find that, as sure as i could once feel the key in my pocket, grasp it in my hand, i find that as i reach for the door they keys metallic smell is nothing more than the taste of blood in my mouth
for someone with a sentimental heart it can definitely be dangerous to keep so many gateways within arms reach but imo the benefits of remembering where i come from is well worth the pain of being reminded of those places to where i cant return
ive always done really well with breakups because of this as a nice perkcrocs at the gym crew

This. Playing Goldeneye, Mario Kart, and Mario Party on N64 til 1 am in the morning on summer nights in a friends basement like 5 of us for a sleepover we thought we were staying up sooo late lol.
We were all huge wrestling fans too used to do the NWO wolfpack sweeeet hand greeting. Playing Wrestlemania 2000 on N64. Practicing wrestling moves on each other, and almost paralyzing each other in the process lmao sneaking up on one of your friends and boom you just got a stone cold stunner. Getting a huge powerbomb onto a mattress.Arsenal FC

I figured we were out of the ordinary for pulling all-nighters with Goldeneye and play into the next day.
One thing that brings me a lot of nostalgia is music, and for whatever reason the newer genre of synth wave does it too. And movies like Days of Thunder and other 80s movies with 80s music.★★★ A State of Trance Crew ★★★

yes sir! i always wanted to get into real competitive play but I just couldn't afford it on my own as a teen. I actually have a very good friend from highschool who played on his colleges team and now plays either professionally or semi professionally down in north carolina (ded fkn srs)

I don't know if I'd call it nostalgia but whenever I go fishing there's something about going up north to cottage country where the lake and the area never really seems to change. It's like time has stood still. Sometimes I'll look at the huge rock cliffs and think "that's been there looking exactly like that for probably millions of years and will still be exactly the same millions of years from now." Blows my mind.
