Unique salt and pepper shaker ideas for rental houses

I've got a bunch of furnished rental houses, and like to make them unique. The kitchens have all utensils and appliances, so all the tenants need to do is buy their food. All my renters are travelling contractors working a refinery, and they have to take a drug screen before they can get a badge to get in. Most of my renters also shoot guns.

So my idea for the salt and pepper shakers is to either make them from unfired 12 gauge shotgun hulls or from unused vials they use for their drug screens.

What would you make them from? The 2 hulls, the 2 vials or both? The green hull would be salt, the red would be pepper. The vials are see through.

Get some 10guage hulls, but its a lit idea.

I painted some fender washers black and white. Those are 2 shakers on the left with the washers glued in place. My 10 gauge hulls are "turd brown" in color, that's not very attractive. Somewhere in my garage is a box of 8 gauge hulls. That's what you see on the right. If I can find those 8 gauge hulls, that's what I'll make shakers from. It's not very common to see an 8 gauge hull.
