My strength has gone up and down; probably like most others.
I train with the same intensity as I have for years.
Idk, this could be some good convo as their are many variables that come into play.
As far as strength, I have been doing bulk/cut cycles for years and years; so, naturally, strength goes up and down with those. Over the years I've gained more and more muscle (as small gains lol) so overall, strength has gone up over the past years. My training has really ramped up after I turned ~45. Not sure why. I think I started taking training and diet more seriously and really got my diet dialed in. Diet is so, so important to your goal. Not sure how much people understand this.
As far as getting used to certain weights etc... I do a different workout every single session. I really feel this helps keep you fresh.2017 OCB Men's Physique Open 4th place

Interesting... I just know that the when first getting used to a new weight for 5 x 5 or 4 x 8, I can feel the soreness deep in the muscle and it tends to last a while (sometimes even an entire week), but after about 3 or 4 successful workouts at that same weight and volume, it no longer gives me more than even half the DOMS of what it did while getting used to it.
The only exceptions have been if I haven't done that exercise at all for a really long time.Bench: 350
Squat: 405
Deadlift: 505

That happens to most people to one degree or another.
You need to do some recovery type things like foam roll, jacuzzi ,hot shower, massage with tools or a person, stretch.
Doing some "light"type activity with where your sore can help circulate the lactic acid(causes soreness)out of the muscle.
Say if your legs are really sore maybe some easy time on an exercise bike or a walk.
Doing nothing will make stay sore longer.

It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.

Not being sore isn’t a good indicator as to whether you had a good workout or not. As you get more advanced you may find you don’t get sore as often, it doesn’t mean your workouts aren’t effective.
And sometimes pain could be due to injury, etc. so you have to be aware and be able to differentiate between simply being sore and a potential problem.- Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works."
