Anyone else have 5% tint?

5% looks great. Had it on a few cars back in the day, but switched to 20% because it was impossible to see around me at night. Back up camera only helped so much, but still couldn't see out of side mirrors.

20% IMO is the best for look and functionality. Anything darker and it's purely for aesthetics.

Not 100% true.. try living in Houston where it gets fkn Africa hot like 7 months out of the year. That 5% comes in handy especially if you have black leather interior as is.

They'll always be exceptions to what I said, but overall I still stand by it. I checked and Nebraska's temps are pretty similar to Houston's in the hot months. The trade off of visibility and the few degrees of comfort before your A/C kicking in isn't worth it to me.

If I could I would do 5% on the front windows to match my back windows. But being in commiefornia, I got a ticket for doing 15% so I went up to 25%. But I may change my mind.

The biggest difference imo is getting your windshield with ceramic tint.

yup Houston is prob the most inhospitable environment in the US, what on earth made so many people decided to live there i have no idea, temp isn't everything, srls feels like the devils asscrack in the summer.

i think 15% is the sweet spot. but it really depends on the shape of the car and how much light it lets in through the windshield, something like a Camaro doesn't let much light in at all, 30% on a Camaro looks like 10% on an SUV from the outside

I have 5% and it's terrible. Can't see for chit at night, have to roll down my windows when parking or driving around areas peds could be around because I don't want to hit anyone.

I used to run limo tint aka 5%. I thought it looked cool but it's tacky and it screams "I'M GHETTO, PULL ME OVER AND SEARCH ME FOR DRUGS"... Then not to mention you can't see chit at night without rolling the windows down.

Just go 15% ceramic and 70% on the windshield.

5% is way too dark and it's illegal in most places. You can only get 35% in Illinois, but I think I'm gonna take my chances with 20%.

I will say with tint I feel more safe security wise too. There's been a lot of car jackings lately.

Getting a heat block tint on the windshield was mind blowing how big a difference it made in hot weather. Also I’m an adult now so no 5% tint anymore. 15-20%.
