Saw a video on youtube where a guy suggested liquid egg whites as the best way to add a lot more protein without much additional effort. Liquid egg whites with chocolate syrup.
I'm still too new to this forum to be allowed to post a link to the video.
I've started drinking a half carton a day with chocolate syrup, as he suggested. I have a couple issues with it so far:
-Even though objectively it tastes ok, in reality the idea of it coupled with the texture makes it seem pretty bad. Maybe I will get used to it though
-I read else where that raw eggs do not have the same bioavailability of protein as cooked eggs. Something like 50% available in raw eggs and 90% available in cooked eggs. Can anyone conform or deny this?
-Maybe it would be better to put in in a smoothie with protein powder, Bananana, oats, coconut milk, peanut butter or something similar. Would dilute the taste.
Anyone here been drinking egg whites for a while?

1Manu on this forum suggested it a while back, and explained that it worked well for him.
I am not 100% sure on the claim that you don't digest the protein fully unless it's cooked - hope someone can answer that because I am curious as well.
I have started doing this occasionally myself: don't mind the taste and appreciate the ability to ingest a huge amount of pure protein with no preparation required. Sometimes I don't have time to cook or slowly eat a meal.Bench: 345

^^ Thanks
However, I just found out that actually cooking an entire carton and eating that with one dry measured cup of brown rice, throwing in some salsa and sriracha and an onion, produces an enormous amount of food... I am a big eater and I decided I didn't even want to eat that much. Still was only ~1200 calories.Bench: 345

From time to time I still do a large egg white frittata. 32oz egg white, diced onion, mushrooms, or any veggie you like, maybe cheese if you want, salsa/hot sauce on it after cooking.
Use a large casserole dish, 9x11 or so, pour egg whites in, mix in diced onion, mushrooms, ect. Bake at 350 for 1 hour, maybe a few minutes more until top is golden brown.
Fcker is huge, dense, and low calorie. Much tastier than just scrambled IMO.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
