MyProtein Vanilla Stevia does not taste like vanilla?

I ordered a bag of MyProtein Vanilla Stevia and it tastes nothing like vanilla. It reminds of cookies & cream or something like that. It doesn't smell like vanilla either.

Did they send me a wrong bag? (even though the label says vanilla stevia)

Or is the taste of stevia this much different from the regular product?

Myprotein's flavoring sucks, that's part of why it's so cheap and some brands are so expensive. Flavoring is costly.

Stevia extract has a weird flavor (metallic) if you ask me, so I think just about most stuff with stevia extract is pretty weird tasting.

Edit:
Someone made a comment as of a rep regarding quality of the extract. I've had a lot of different extracts over time and all have that metallic taste to me. Sure, it's subjective, but it hasn't mattered. It's also not an aftertaste. It's metallic as I'm touching the tongue. Yes the aftertaste persists, but it's not just a metallic aftertaste.

I agree with TMac that of all the popular artificial sweeteners, stevia extract is the worst of these.
