I started reading up on this and for the last 2 weeks been doing this and honestly I feel great.
I start with warm water then turn it to the hottest I can tolerate it for like 20 to 30 seconds and then start lowering the temperature until I turn it into freezing water (the cold is harder to tolerate than the hot for me) for 20 -30 seconds. I make sure every part of my body is exposed to both the hot and cold by turning in the shower slowly.
I do this 7 times and end with the cold, when I get out I feel invigorated and energized. I do it every day and it feels the best after my workouts.
Anyway anyone else try this?

There is a lot of write ups on it and too many to list, but here is one on what they reference hydrotherapy.

Yes!
I do. And I also encourage my lifters to do the same.
Bulgarian Weightlifters began doing this in the 80s.
Then bodybuilder Leo Costa visited Bulgaria to meet the famous Olympic coach Ivan something-the-last-name-is-full-of-consonants-and-no-vowels, and Leo and adopted the Bulgarian weightlifting methods into bodybuilding training.
Back in the 90s Leo wrote a book called 'Big Beyond Belief.' I remember buying the book in 1993 when I was stationed overseas.
It was then that I first heard of this method.
Oh, and just an FYI. Coach Ivan earned the nickname 'The Butcher' because he injured so many of his lifters. But his team also received more gold medals than the Russians back in the day. This above all..
To thine ownself be true..
And it must follow, as the night the day..
Thou can'st not then be false to any man..

I have convinced some friends and family members to do the same and getting some great feedback from them!
I had tension/stress headaches that started from the back of my neck and now they are 100% gone! Also my shoulder the one I had surgery on, is feeling better and better since I started this, its not 100% but man feels like 80% better than before. On the list for Bannukah

The bucket isn't something you tip momentarily and done. If you do that, most of the water will go past without ever touching the body. Carefully tip and start pouring (suck it up), trying to get over head and both shoulders, back and front etc. You sure don't get 20-30 seconds, maybe 4-5 or 6 seconds at most. But the cooling rate is greater, so the effect is more sensational, more of a pronounced shock. I came up with this technique after trying it different ways.
