A question about bulking and cutting

So I’m currently restarting the gym once again. I’m 5’7 and 157 pounds and assuming I should bulk to around 170. However I was wondering how long my bill should be before I start cutting, in the past I was an avid gym goer and seemed fit enough, so I was wondering would a smaller bulk help instead around two months , assuming if old strength and muscle grow back faster from past gym experience.

    Need more info:

    What is your bodyfat?

How long have you been lifting?

I’m not too sure about my body fat I would say it was 18 or 19 (don’t have abs). I’ve been lifting for around 2-3 years but on and off. At my best I would say my 1RM for bench was 2 plates and squat was 335, so I’d say intermediate.I started once again after about a 8 months from quitting and 157 pounds but it’s definitely just from quarantine eating. Oh and I’m 22 (used an old Facebook account haha)

Really need more info or a pic. If your waist is closer to 35in, cut. 30in, bulk. Somewhere in between, do you want more muscle or less fat?
Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

If you're 18-19%... then you don't need to bulk... you have plenty of fat to lose

Pics for best advice OP, but otherwise this ^^^^. If your bodyfat is that high you should probably be looking at a slow cut, not bulking.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.
