No youโll be fine, you should take a week from working out every few months or so. Your muscles, tendons and ligaments repair themselves, small injuries can be healed, and the glycogen energy stores in your muscles and liver are replenished.

You'll honestly probably grow more during the week off

I took a week off lifting during the holidays. I can't think of any downsides besides just missing lifting weights and the routine. If you can't allow yourself the occasional week off then you need to work on that (mentally).

I normally take two weeks off the gym at the New Year since it gets super busy and I like when it thins out a bit. I'll stretch, do yoga, go for a run, and just rest during those two weeks. With COVID impacting me at the gym, I can't do that this year, but it's something I've done since like 9th grade when I first stepped into a real gym and saw how mobbed it gets.
I then normally take a week break every 3 months. You're body gets a little tired and taking a week off will do you good srs. I've come back after a week break stronger than I was before I left, and I feel way better. I create my own 3 month lifting programs and when they're done I'll measure my final progress, spend a week creating a new one, and then starting over.*Mechanical Engineering Crew*

"Because the thing about repairing, maintaining, and cleaning is itโs not an adventure. Thereโs no way to do it so wrong you might die. Itโs just work. And the bottom line is, some people are okay going to work, and some people โฆ well, some people would rather die. Each of us gets to choose.โ
