Better sleep, no hangover, no stupid regretful drunken actions, better mood, more energy, feel more stable, depression and anxiety down, higher self esteem, feel more creative/imaginative, more connected to the world, feel more like myself.
But at the same time i feel like too much of myself, mind racing, i get a different kind of anxiety and depression, and i feel like i need to dull myself with alcohol. Ideally it would probably be good for me to drink a few days a week, to get a good buzz but not too drunk. But i have shown in the past that i start to drink too much and become dependant on it and turn into a very different person.
Can i learn from my lessons this time and learn to moderate, or will i just go back to being a drunk and i shouldnt drink at all?

Ask your doc for a low dose (like 25mg) zoloft. Works wonders for me for a while before I got myself off of it.

Thinking you can handle it moderately after you have recognized you haveva problem with it is just lying to yourself and will ultimately lead to the same problems.
I started buying NON alcoholic seltzer when i stopped drinking. Gives me the bitter/bubbly taste i liked with beer. Can drink a few while relaxing.

Your senses will be plenty numb when you're dead, enjoy them while you have them.
