Hi, does anyone know how long I should stop taking creatine before blood work? I just had some blood work done and it generated a false positive, high creatinine

just working out can also affect creatinine levels but if you wanted to completely eliminate creatine from your system it would probably take a month assuming you have been taking normal doses
My secret? Texting between sets.

I am guessing a month as it is suggested to take 1 month off when cycling off.

very old outdated information or written by an idiot, your body does not down regulate so there is no real reason for most people to ever cycle off. The continued benefits of creatine are well supported for pennies a day. That being said a maintenance dose for average males sits between 20-25 grams a week.

3-5 grams a day, 5-7 days per week, in or with any beverage, at any time of day, no loading, no cycling, done

I love how most answers ignore the OPs question, I know he's a filthy red alt but it's a valid one
I hate getting non cystatin c based bloods because it doesn't take much to spike my creatinine and creatine supps are definitely one thing that affects mine
Dehydration, intense prior workouts and eating cooked meat a few hours before the test also spikes mine a lot

That is a sunk cost.
If you're going to waste more money buying overpriced less-proven creatine pills/capsules because you don't want to have to take your bc aa powder and creatine powder, you'd be better of binning the amino caps and buying more reasonably priced and more proven creatine powder.

There is no need to cycle off, and good labels don't tell you to cycle off.
S/he should of course go by doctors orders over anything anybody online says. But probably if the doctor is actually concerned about kidney functions, OP will be pissing into a container for 24 hours for a clearance test which will illuminate the matter greatly, and if I predict, doctor will say everything is fine. But, won't know what Doc says until Doc says
