In healthy individuals, which is what we're discussing, no, cycling is not necessary. IF a medical issue arises, then you'd stop taking it completely. Not cycle off. This isn't DAT DERE, you don't need to cycle stuff. Cycling was something Bill Phillips put out there as part of the marketing of creatine. Getting guys on DAT DERE to look at it as legit as what they were on. Continue with the window licking.

if a client of yours shows a BUN number greater than 20, do you have them cycle off or continue taking?

I would have him cycle off in order to get accurate results to assess kidney function, not because creatine supplementation is a risk factor. Or I would order a urine B2M, which I don't believe is affected by creatine.
