Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate)
I never tried RULE1 whey protein before so I figured I'd grab a few tubs during their Black Fri Sale
and I figured people are always wanting to know about the taste of flavors so I'll slowly be reviewing
each flavor that I purchased in this thread so if your interested stay tuned.
I posted just the profile and the types of protein used cause each flavor will vary on the ingredients
according to the flavor but the macros are pretty consistent with each flavor.

First flavor up to bat was Pumpkin Spice and I LOVE pumpkin and it's usually a seasonal flavor so I
made sure to grab a tub. I've had a few different brands of pumpkin over the years and one of the
best I've had was one that was pumpkin pie flavor and the company that put that one out really
captured the flavor cause it was a multi blend so they were able to nail the flavor with depth cause
you can do that when you have a blend that contains whey, milk, and egg protein.
Rule1 took the safe route cause it is a pure whey protein so they didn't go crazy with trying to over
hype the flavor when you don't have milk isolate or casein in there to give it more depth so a Pumpkin
Spice on a pure whey is easy to pull off and they did pull off a decent flavor.
The powder mixes easily with virtually no foam and no clumping, you do get a tad bit of light sediment
on the bottom of your shaker cup but that's expected because there is cinnamon in this protein.
The flavor comes through with a light pumpkin spice taste which is enjoyable but I'm one who loves a
bit more of a stronger spice flavor but as I mentioned this is a safe pumpkin spice to please the masses.
I think if you like pumpkin you'll enjoy this flavor and if your one who doesn't want it too heavy on the
spice this is DEFINITELY what you want. So far I've enjoyed it in overnight proats, and it does thicken
up enough on it's own so you don't have to add a tsp of a casein protein to help thicken it, it's tasted
very good when I mixed it in cottage cheese, and it's been good mixed in a thick yogurt cause it actually
tasted like I was eating pumpkin pie without the crust.
Overall 8/10- I definitely recommend this flavor and I would buy it again and honestly if it's offered in a
5lb tub I would grab it.Last edited by superhuman67; 01-04-2021 at 10:17 PM.

Thanks! and I figured since I picked up a couple of lbs I might as well do a review on here so
others could get an idea what this co. has to offer in flavor.
So far the Pumpkin Spice has been treating my taste buds well.
1 cup of 1 min rolled oats
1 scoop of Rule1 Pumpkin Spice Whey
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of pumpkin spice powder
1 banana mashed up to almost liquid
1 whole egg 2 egg whites
1 tbs of liquid vanilla extract
Frosting- 1/2 scoop of Pumpkin Spice Whey added to a bowl and add a few drops of water and
stir briskly until you get the consistency you want and spread it all over the pancakes.

So far 2 flavors in the record books and neither one tastes like poo
Mint Chocolate Chip
The powder in ice cold water mixed up well with a bit of foam but it settled very quickly and
no clumping at all so solid mix ability.
The flavor is Mint Chocolate Chip but WHERE ARE THE CHIPS there are NO chips and this
kind of reminds me of the brand Rivalas which also makes this same flavor but NO chips
What you get from this flavor is a dark chocolate, which I'm a huge fan of dark choc with and undertone
of mint. I personally would have loved a stronger mint flavor but I can see Rule1 went a little conservative
on the mint to please the masses which is what they did with the Pumpkin Spice flavor and honestly I can
understand it because not everyone is gonna want a strong mint flavor.
The flavor though is still good and enjoyable and as I mentioned in the beginning the fact that the choc is
dark definitely makes this for ME more enjoyable because I think mint and dark choc are a better combo than
mint and light milk choc.I definitely recommend this flavor as I did with the pumpkin spice and if I were to buy
it again I would opt for the 5lb tub.

This whey makes VERY good proats and I add 1 cup of 5min oats with 1 scoop of Mint Choc Chip
and a little water then cover it and place in the fridge overnight and this pic is the outcome.
For a straight whey protein this thickens up nicely for overnight proats and I don't have to add
any casein protein to help thicken it up like I have to do with My Protein Impact Whey.

I've been going through Rule1 Multi Blend protein in the Cookies and Cream flavor
This is a blend of 6 different proteins and for a multi blend it mixed up perfectly with no foam
or clumping at all. The flavor which is C&C which I posted a pic of the powder which has these
TINY specs that look more like black pepper so there really was NO cookies taste to this
flavor. What you get is a vanilla type flavor with a ever so slight hint of cream and by no means
does it taste bad and it taste good! but it's just not C&C.
I've gone through 6 flavors so far of Rule1 protein and honestly none of them are bad and actually
I would buy each of the flavors I've tried again EXCEPT this C&C and not because it doesn't taste
good it's just not a C&C that I was looking for and if someone is looking for this flavor I would suggest
looking at other brands. The flavors I've had again all taste good but they aren't strongly flavored or
overly sweet so again in my opinion Rule1 flavoring is designed to appeal to the masses.
I picked up the 5lb tubs for $26 and the 2lber's for $13 during Rule1's Black Fri Deal so at those price
points I would DEFINITELY buy this brand again when I see them at those prices and I would highly
recommend giving them a try but DON''T overpay.
