    Suggest good core exercises/workouts

I have been doing a core workout I made every day to build strength and look better, but it started to lose its effect and get easy. I would do it 3 times or so:
    40 Russian twists
    25 situps
    12 v-ups
    30 bear crunches
    45 scissors
    40 bicycle crunches
    1:15 plank

I was wondering if anyone could suggest harder workouts that they've done or different exercises to substitute in.

Those look all like Ab exercises, where is the lumbar exercises? That is part of the “core” as well

add weight to some of them or do them slower

also, if you want to build strength and look better, you should do stuff like push ups, pull ups, dips etc instead of ab day every day

    Yep there are IMO

The key is not to allow your stomach to sag. Arch your back like a hump backed bridge. This is the opposite of what we often do in weight training so it can take some concentration.

Do you have a medium to large sized dog? You can do dog lifts. I did them with my German Shephard when I was a kid. It's sort of a squat/dead lift combination.

You could try adding weights if you haven't already, or if you have a pull up bar you could try doing hanging knee raises. Also supersetting some of the excersizes could be worth a try for muscle confusion

instead of rotating your core (Russian Twists) put in some exercises that resist core twisting (like pallof press, landmine, single arm wall press, etc)

Best way to confuse dem muscles is to think about your chest and biceps when doing squats. Confuses the hell out of them

I generally point and shout 'look over there!'. Then when they're all focused on that I quickly thrash out a set of curls. They don't know what's hit them (except for my finger muscles I used for pointing, I have a separate day for doing finger lifts in my 18 day bro split)

Aye that's proper muscle confusion. About to do a workout so I'll do that. Although the element of surprise could be gone if my muscles have seen what we are speaking about

Leg raises on wall bars can substitute almost all other core exercises. By doing only this exercise, one builds strength to perform numerous other exercises for the same muscle group, making them unnecessary.
