How Often Do You Clean Your Ears?

They say you’re not supposed to use a Q-Tip every day cause it’ll damage your ears. I don’t know any other way.


I try to use a Q-Tip every other day but forget cause it’s not a habit. Then my ears are all gunked up.



Wondering what other Miscers do or if they’re on that NoFap, NoPillow, NoQ-Tip time.

I pull the cotton out from the q tip so it’s flimsier. It still grabs the wax cause it sticks but i would assume it’s healthier for the ear

I don't Q-tip. I'm one of those people with weird ear canals that get wax blockage and ideally need a visit to the doc every 6 months to suck wax out.
There are ear cleaning drops you can get at a pharmacy that work pretty nice without risking phucking up your ears.

I q-tip every shower and whenever I feel something is making my ears itch. Also there's nothing better than getting a big chunk of earwax out, hasn't happened to me in a while but it just feels good.

Put a light cloth over your pinky and stick it in your ear and rotate, thus efficiently cleaning in.

I don't think so, or at least not that I can remember.

But definitely something to consider. I almost think the change might be a direct result of just not irritating them with the q tip. Could be something to what you wrote.

Yeah man on the real the more you clean the more your body produces, same goes with oil and face, notice the people with all the bright red pimples and scaring are the ones who wash their faces the most

Same goes with shampoo and oily hair.


Not saying not to clean yourself but saying your body is going to fight back the more you try to define what it naturally needs to do


I stopped using Q tips at 12 when I noticed the more I cleaned the more itd get dirty if I didn’t after a few days then watching videos seeing it’s actually bad for you.

Haven’t used a q tip in years and last time got my ears checked from doctor he said I had the cleanest ears he’s ever seen and what do I do.

I of course said wash them out of feeling gross but reality I don’t

Mirin' this is a conclusion I have slowly been reaching. Have been growing my hair longer and noticed that the more I wash it, the greasier it gets too. That's another thing I was told, is that you don't want to do that every day. Unfortunately I can't exactly not, because I workout almost daily so I still wash it daily.

But the ears are absolutely something I can forgo lol

I’ll clean the outer area here and there when in the shower. Same w/the inner canal but I try to avoid doing that often because I think that’s what caused the frequent ear blockages from wax. I stopped doing that after having my ears rinsed w/doctor and ear wax blockage hasn’t been an issue; only twice since then have I needed to rinse my ears by myself w/one of those store-brand syringes but that’s it.

My ex use to do hair for celebrities and rich people and said they have the most damaged and disgusting hair, she said working out and sweating actually cleans your hair the best the natural way along with killing bad cells as well and should always rinse head after with water n air dry for healthiest results, shampoo once or twice a week at most, a natural conditioner is recommended to be used every other day,

I don’t know results personally because I shave my head but if it helps you, would recommend, I don’t know how smell would be tho lol

i take a Q-Tip and dip the cotton ends in 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol. then i use it to GENTLY clean my ear canal and outer ear. i do this after every shower (2X a day - once in the morning and once at night).

As and when tbh as wax just falls out - crazy as it sounds , that works purefct

I once sort of knew this dimwit who usred to catch thie same Train as me and I had a bit of a sniffle as I was reading the paper that made me sneeze and it was sunny - so I told him I was laegic to the Newspapers and sun-shine and he Lol'd bad and said "well how do you ever go out"!!?
