I finish off quad day with short stride lunges and on ham day I finish off with long stride lunges. I hit calves on both leg days. I have never had any other muscle group on my body grow this fast. I put just as much effort into every lift same as with legs but nothing else responds this way. Pic on left is the before.
Interesting.... I actually notice a difference in strength between hitting a body part every four days versus every five days. For example I alternate between 2 routines:

"Push / off / legs / pull / off REPEAT" for me seems to do better regarding strength than
"Push / legs / pull / off REPEAT" (one less off day)

The only reason I sometimes do the 4 day routine is that there is so much research out there now saying frequency is critical for hypertrophy

Figured I would drop an update on my slow bulk. I started about 10 weeks ago now around 183ish. Currently I am sitting at 202 in the morning. Most of my gains seem to have come in the legs and back. I believe I am still lean enough to continue. My cals are currently at 4200-4300.
