Yes. If you’re not a bot, then head over to the nutrition sub-forum and follow the tried-and-true techniques described in the stickies.
Burn more calories than you consume. Eat lots of protein. Weigh train. Job done.My home gym: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=175136471&p=1623181551&viewfull=1#post1623181551

I dont like to think or running "diet programs" It's a lifestyle. Find a diet you can consistently stick with. Only then will you see a change, in weight gain, weight loss, or no change. Then you can make adjustments. One program isn't necessarily better than another.
If nothing happened your calories were off.
Also, you have to lift weights. Just cardio will not do the trick.US Army 1998-2020

Followed and successful?? Rather than what?.. not followed and successful?
Sensible diets are simple common sense. But it's complying with diets - long term consistent compliance.. that's the difficult bit. I admit I don't find that super easy myself.
If you are genuine, maybe your question should be more about tactics to help achieve compliance with diets
TXBuddy advice is golden, it needs to be incorporated into lifestyle not as some quick fix, plus make sure some "heavy" (feels heavy for you, don't compare to other people) resistance training of your biggest muscles is also part of the lifestyle

yep, I tracked calories by protein, carbs and fats daily.Tracked body weight on a 10 day average. Adjusted calories and macros when the weight stalled. Lost 40lbs and the weight has been gone for 5 years. Long slow process to loose the weight. Exercise was a mix of lifting and cardio 5-6 days per week. Not easy and not fast but changed my life. Had to change clothes size 3 times.

There are a lot of good ideas out there. It boils down to this.... Do something, find what works for YOU! We are all different. Reather than sit around and let your body deteriorate around you, do something - you can allways fine tune it for yourself as you go. They are some basic rules that most likely apply to all, and any plan your do.....
1) As it was said before burn more than you take in.
2) Minimize your sugar intake.
3) Stay clear of processed foods
4) Do both weights and cardio (don't play - unless you play to win!)
5) Have fun
6) be disciplined and stick with it
