Is it better to have some fats in your dinner?

Just watched a Muscle and Strength video with Iain Valliere and he has some fats with his protein for dinner, without carbs, for the slower proteindigestion and having the aminos working in your system overnight.

Is that really necessary? Most of my fats are in the morning with my eggs and I dont really feel like changing them to dinner. I guess there's not a big difference since the same amount of protein is gonna get into your body, regarding of the digestion speed, but if I'm wrong, please correct me.

Well, most meals contain some amount of fats.... unless you’re just eating bananas and egg whites for dinner.
The power of carbs compels me!

    50g corn flakes
    200ml low fat milk
    30g whey protein
    150g frozen strawberries

Maybe like 5g of fats. Not really enough to make a difference I guess.

You could track macros if you’re that concerned about it. I think it more matters on a daily basis of what fats/protein/carbs you have, not so much hourly. It all depends what your body is needing at the time tho so.... It’s probably best to have a certain percentage of each when you eat to cover all your bases.

This is why you shouldn't watch random Youtube channels for education. That being said you can find some good sources like Stu Phillips and Jorn Trommelen.

Eat your fats whenever you want. Avoiding carbs for dinner is bro science from the 80's. If anything fibrous carbs would actually slow down protein absorption.

Each meals should contain a bit of quality fat like olive oil

Track macros, hit your fat minimum by the end of the day and don't worry about it. Same as protein.
