also, I don’t even give a **** how Brady and the Bucs end up doing.
the narrative throughout the years has always been you can put a miscer under center in NE and they would magically play well.
Pats offense has been utter garbage this season. Last year Brady finished with 4K, 24/8 numbers. Average but they still went 12-4 with the same offensive talent. This season the Pats OL is prob even better.

I agree that the high number of opt outs hurt the defense, but they've since improved and playing at a competent level. That being said, if you've watched any Patriot games you'd know that the defense isn't the issue for the Patriots struggles.
The defense gave up 17 points last week to the Rams and got an INT, yet the offense makes it into the red zone 4 times and only scores 3 points. Is that the defenses fault?New England Patriot

Because they would be doing it on the Bucs right now if he could. And even then Arians has said that they are running what Tom wants, the plays he wants, etc. Not to mention, they (Cris Collinsworth, etc.) mentioned in the top 100 show last year that Peyton was the only QB that basically ran his own practices and Brady never did that.

lol at this potato logic.
Pats QBs are a combined total of 2600yd, 8tds and 14ints
Pats total offense is ranked 27th vs last year 7th
Pats total defense is ranked 7th vs last year 1st
still a top 10 defense and you can argue with a better qb they would rank better with not being on the field so much.
with Brady they are easily 9-3

Patriots have also missed Edelman for most of the year. You think he is going to do well throwing to Byrd, Harry, and a bunch of other no names. He would actually do a lot worse. And their defense has been injured too, Gilmore missed a few games.
They would be in the playoffs but barely and they definitely would not be winning the division.

Brady haters can't cope with the fact the bad argument they've been losing for 2 decades is in complete shambles.
You clowns said it yourself: "Bill could win with anyone," now just eat your crow and move on. Lmfao at the "opt outs" excuses, don't remember you excusing Pats struggles whenever they were plagued by injuries before

I didnt say that
All I said was putting up 4000 yards with Gronk, Evans, Godwin and Brown does nothing to prove TB12 can play at a HoF level outside of the Pats system
I agree hes doing great for a guy his age, but again that doesn't prove he's a top 5 all time QB
FWIW I always did and still do think Brady is the GOAT, I just think the idea that this year disproves the system QB argument is asanineLast edited by LukeS1; 12-14-2020 at 04:59 PM.

And people aren't even looking at stats correctly. He was compared to 2012 Peyton Manning when 2012 Peyton Manning was 2nd in passer rating while Brady is 14th in passer rating right now.
Brady is putting up league average QB stats while having the best WR corps of his career and all-time.
https://www.pro-football-reference.c...B/BradTo00.htm
Tom Brady's passer rating index is 106 (Rate +). That's the 2nd lowest of his career, last year was lower.
Lol you were one of the people who said Brady is still the best player in the NFL, so he's actually describing people like you when he said you shouldn't take people like that seriously.

Dude, come on. Your own video is proof that you don't have proof. Collinsworth says Peyton ran the practices using the game plan for that week, but admitted he didn't know how involved Manning was in the actual creation of the game plan. And that portion of the video was mentioning his days in Indy, not Denver.
And herp derp at thinking just because you "run" a practice it means you're a better QB than someone else. Peyton was one of the best to do it and a leader. Anyone with that level of talent and leadership commands the huddle.New England Patriot

I dont get how you guys are even arguing this
The TB12 is a system QB argument is not that in another system he couldn't throw decent stats with a pro bowl roster
Its that he wouldn't still look like a top 5 all time QB, and carry his side to multiple super bowls in the absence of the favourable conditions he had at the pats
Hes done nothing to disprove that at Tampa6'1, 205 lbs

He IS a system QB, but so is every other QB and player in the NFL. This whole system QB **** is so ****ing stupid. Brady absolutely wouldn't be the GOAT if he got his start with the Browns, Brees wouldn't have all these records without Sean Payton, and so many other examples. They are all products of the system that they are in. Look at Ryan Tannehill. Gase's system and he wasn't good. He's much better in the one he's currently in.

Well you can take it two ways....You can either A argue that Peyton ran his own gameplan/offense or B he was adaptable towards multiple coaches, thus why he succeeded every bit as well in Denver as he did in Indy. Unless you think John Fox/Adam Gase are geniuses or something.
The run practice thing has more to do with the fact that he would succeed no matter where or what team. Peyton never had this system/offense debate like Brady has this year with Arians. Largely because Brady hasn't played great despite insane weapons, so you can either blame Brady or Arians for that and obviously most people would never blame Brady.
I am not even taking anything away from Brady. I'll argue he is better than Rodgers and Mahomes, there is just one dude I won't put him over and it's Fivehead.

See now you've gone off topic again
The point is that the only thing he can do at Tampa to prove he is a top 5 all time QB in another system, is to play at that level in the new system
Throwing 4,000 yards with a pro bowl roster is not that
Personally I agree Brady is the GOAT, but thats got nothing to do with anything he's done this year. And until that changes, the people that claim system QB have a valid counter argument6'1, 205 lbs
