We've been given this amazing city and there's so many things to look at, and none of them are doable or there's just not many things to do.
For a sequel, do you hope they create a "new" night city or perhaps go to another city in the cyberpunk universe .... or do you want them to do something like what Yakuza devs do and keep the city the same, but just way more "density" to it .... Right now the city is littered with strip clubs, bars, arcade palors and all sorts of interesting places that look like they may have interiors but when you go up to them it just gives you "door is locked" message .... Which honestly I have no idea wtf that means, whether its gonna open up later or if CDPR had initially wanted these to be enterable but decided not to as they over-promised on what Night City could be.
Personally I can stay in this place for another 2 games, although hopefully it wont take another 8 fkkin years of overpromises and hype for each game ... They've got the city, so what they could do is just release a whole bunch of expansions/dlc content while they're working on the next game ........ Every year, or every 2 years they could release some massive content changes and every 3-6 months drop in some meaty story dlc content ..... If anything, what CDPR have here is the potential to make the whole "games as a service" aspect become more meaningful and perhaps even evolutionary by just supporting Night City as a single player GAAS for the next 3-5 years.

Too early to say that this game won't reach legend status like Witcher 3?
I'm worrying if they spent more time on the world and graphics than the actual characters and story.
Also, still haven't played it but I'm hearing negative things about the combat. Obviously I wasn't expecting a hyper smooth FPS shooter level gameplay but I was expecting it to be better than.... Say skyrim.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Originally you were supposed to be able to change housing apartments, even decorate them..
They cut a lot from the game to rush the release
TW3 is 150 hours long with a far more indepth story breh
They definitely focused more on visuals in CP2077, especially illuminations, meanwhile my character practically sleeps on the floor with his arm up on the bed from a simple oversight..*Tolerance is the lube that slides the dildo of dysfunction into the ass of civilized society*

Honestly I played Witcher 3 for the first time this year and it was the best single player experience I ever had. Was it as buggy as CP on consoles? I doubt I heard nearly as much complaints...
The game I played this year had a level of depth and polish that I was hoping to experience with CP.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Well that sucks. I don't get it though, W3 was created in less time no? Do they have a different team?
I spent closer to 200 hours playing it (Gwent master race) and had a blast. By the end I wanted to keep going. It's been like 7 months since I played and it's been calling to me for another playthrough, I've been having sickening nostalgia just listening to the music.
Never played skyrim with mods. I did enjoy it ALOT when it came out though.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

They had to have stopped and started production many, many times to take 8+ years to release CP2077, companies can create a game this size in 18 months if they pour enough funds into it
They really screwed up pushing the release in the year of Wuhan Flu

Bruh.......
That's the beginning of the game. Man, what a sick experience that game was. It's the reason I'm hesitating to play CP right now. I made my character and stopped. Don't want my high standards of W3 to overshadow CP especially if it starts off buggy.
I need to chill and manage my expectations.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

That's what I'm thinking. AC Valhalla must have been made in a much shorter time as well and it had no where as many issues.
I feel like CDPR had a whole list of grand ideas that they wanted implemented, and probably spent a ton of time and resources into some, only to scrap them. And then, clearly lots of time and effort was spent into creating the city itself.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Cyberpunk was first announced in 2012 - so 2 years before PS4/XB1 were even introduced - to start development, and then they announced in 2018 that it would be available for last-gen consoles.
Witcher 3 was announced in 2013, was supposed to be released in Q3 2014, but then got delayed until May or so in 2015, but it was still pretty buggy at the beginning. I don't have the details, but my guess is that there were overlaps between the teams. What we do know is that TW3 had around 250 developers, while the CP team had 400+ in 2017 and kept hiring through the years.

I think they will do a new project in the Witcher universe, or a new IP before they go back to this universe.
For anyone interested, here is how it's running on the next gen consoles. This is all in back compat mode, they are releasing a next gen patch in 2021. I'll probably wait until then to pick up the game.
