Had a very OK deadlift session this morning.
Dug deep and pulled a top single at 515.
Back-off set at 405 lbs I pulled 6 reps!!! I have not done more than a triple at 405 in forever. w00t!

Halt Dead Lift to knees-
Before the ego Zen's say "But that's not full ROM, blah, blah,blah" The hardest part of the dead lift is the mindset to lift it off the floor to the knees. What I'm doing here is "training" those muscles and the mindset, this also saves the lower back, I see ZERO point in stressing the low back for a lockout until its actually needed.
This is the important part, 410-

Loading Pin Dead Lift PR today. I've lifted over 450# 4-times this week. I was not concerned about locking out and standing with it, which is when the disks are vulnerable to squashing, I'd prefer to lift big loads everyday than to wait and rehab those pinches. Just moving this load targets the lats.
I also need to get creative getting into the 500s in this lift, if you notice I have a 2.5# plate sticking out of the bottom. I will be able to fit another 50# plate on it though, so that's good.

This is a great feat of strength Gabbar not only pressing but carrying without straps, hosting them and not dropping them on the floor.
I’m doing heavy flyes and I’m the vid I posted I dropped them when finished, I stopped dropping them because sitting up with the bells yields results too. I could do them when I was younger but not ATM. I could do 10lbs lighter with each dumbbell. I've lost a bit of strength in my chest but I'm hoping to regain it.
Not pressing DBs at the moment either, just BB. Good thing is current gym has weighs that go beyond the 100lbs. When I was younger I developed strength more quickly and by my early 20s I could press the 100lbs with relative ease. Sept, the gym wouldn't buy heavier dumbbells. So, for things like rows, I started stuffing lighter DBs across the handles of the 100lbers to at least add 20 more lbs to each DB.Back off, Warchild.
