    Anyway I am back, should be posting some videos soon. Sucks that I wont be able to train on Friday as I will be getting my 3rd session on my tat.

    I'm hoping to try my PR a couple times in bench today - coach wanted me to stick to 315 (current PR) but if it moves really well I'll probably bump it up just a little bit

    Had a family emergency so couldn't post Thursday.
    Was a great week for PRs! Wednesday, hit that 319 comp pause, then 325 touch and go (319 video posted). Yesterday hit a deadlift PR at 535, then went big and hit 545!
    Next week not sure if I'll try any PRs heading to IPL worlds, but certainly feeling good right now.

    Dead lift this is volume for me-

    415 x 3

    I was surprise I got 3 on the the last one, my hips were feeling it.

    This was done on the real dead lift bar.

    I went home downed a shake with whole milk and went right to the beer and bourbon srs. Drank for a few hours then ate.

    Pretty much, my glutes were hurting, I drank slept for most of the day on Saturday, plus Sunday. On Sunday night I felt like million bucks, I may just do it again this Friday.

    I can't believe my body is hurting all over!

    Didn't up the squat nor the deadlift but upped the bench, OHP and BOR by 10lbs on each side. Crazy how out of shape I get so freaking fast, I don't think I am normal

    Was thinking the same in terms of recovery.

    But it takes being not normal to work and defy what normal people do.

    The lady that posted about men being so stronger, all she needs is a different outlook and someone or herself to tell her she can get just as strong. Women don’t get that type treatment from most imo.

    I saw a women with a good coach dead lift conventional 365 at age 43 with 3 years of strength training. Most men stop there.

    AGREED.

    Went for the 325 bench last night (which I was only able to touch and go last week): the first attempt might have been whites but was very close... so I tried it again and I think this one is solid!
    Tonight is my last Deadlift heavy day and next week is chill/recovery for IPL tested worlds... hopefully goes better than my last meet lol.

    Yesterday finally hit a wall - coach wanted me to try 555 on deads, so I warmed up and hit 512 fine, but felt a little low on energy. Using my kilo plates I loaded 557 and while it came off the floor, I failed just a few inches up. I was planning to drop to 525 but really wanted to go for a PR, so tried 550 and got oh so close Next time!

    While that weight is nothing heavy for most, I was stuck at 190-200 for like 2 months, I finally found a groove, I feel real good about getting 230 and over in the coming weeks.

    From a hypertrophy bodybuilding perspective what do floor presses target? I would assume triceps and possibly front delts?

    BH the floor press does build overall Pec development. I didn't do any upper body stuff before and I have added a couple inches to overall width shoulder and chest, plus my pecs are usually sore and puffy after these. Really noticing after breaking 200+. Id say a foundation builder for sure and easy on the shoulders.

    Yesterday was a fairly easy day, just warmed up and did all three openers for my meet this week. IF anyone is interested lol apparently the IPL drug tested worlds will be streamed live. I'll be competing on Sunday in Flight A on platform blue.
    Openers were nice n easy. My openers this meet should essentially be my meet PRs from Feb. Feeling good!

    Powerclean and STRICT press with 169, finally was able to get a good strict press filmed with over 165 -



    Powerclean and jerk with 189, I rarely do jerks, cleans are the challenge, as you can see this jerk was nothing...........

    I'm going to start doing something different, I have been missing squats because my back is too inflamed from dead lifts do for now I will keep dead lifting heavy but incorporate light high rep squats.

    IMO, it don't matter if one is training for size or strength, light high rep squats are beneficial, the goal is 20,30,40 reps. and 2-sets will be key. I did these in my early 30's but I pushed it to the limits for one all out set back then.

    Today I did a set of 21, added 11# and did another set of 16 (not filmed), my back was no longer inflammed. The goal is to work up to a 30-40 repper, add weight for set 2 and blast out another 10-15.

    Hey man....I'll take it. Snapped me a swelfie last night. Still doing my wacky fasting. IF all days. (never eat before 2-3pm first meal). W, Sat, Sun, I fast for 20-22 hours eating only one meal at 6-7 pm. (still eat desserts and junk after sometimes). Eating icecream almost every workout night, post workout.
