I did not record any lifts last night, however I went up on all my lifts, I felt strong and did not tire out. But this was upper body, I seem to be weaker with lower body I will see how I do on leg day.

There we go! Just keep at it - it's kinda like a grinder that you thought moved slow but then on video it actually moved pretty quickly! Just keep at it - your recovery is going well!

Yesterday was heavy bench again - not sure how the schedule changed (went heavy bench Friday too), but coach points and I shoot!
We got to try out our new toy: a Sling Shot.
Worked up to singles and took it easy starting at 275 with the sling shot.
Obviously you can get similar effects with board work or even an intentional small assist from a spotter out of the hole.
I will say though I really really like it. You get to feel the heavy weight, hold it, lower it, and lock it out. Really forces you to stay focused and drive out of the hole to close out the lift.
Went 275/295/315/335/335 with the sling shot and the heavier weights felt great (vid is 335#1)
    2x10x2 @ 205 for pauses (vid is set #1)
    100 pushups with the sling
    3x8 flys
    3x8 bicep
    10 pullups.

Another great workout last night, chest shoulders and triceps, but tonight will be the real test as I will be doing legs. I will definitely post the videos on the leg workout! I should be able to do 16 plates (8 per side) for 8 reps on theleg press and at least 2 plates and a quarter for 8 on hacksquats.

Last night was flat dumbbell press 80lbs, incline dumbbell press 70lbs, bodyweight dips 10 reps, skull crushers 65lbs, bent over dumbbell lateral raises 35lbs, facepulls 60lbs.

Not good but improvement nonetheless, got 7 reps with the 8 plates and got 8 reps with 2 plates and a quarter on the hacksquats...so I am pleased but still the weight feels fcking heavy!!

Also did SLDL, Glute Ham Raises and Standing calf raises.

    Good stuff man!

Since I'm in a basement gym I don't have as many options for accessories, would really like an easier solution for hamstring like GHRs...
Squats today for me! I'm pumped! Of course I'll try to record something

Easter Sunday around 1pm, only one other person was there that Easter, and he had the keys.

Yeah, felt easy, that’s what an afternoon session feels like. The only other times I can go is am. Am squats are harder.

Didn’t rec dead lifts but my form is improving, 438 off the floor felt smooth and I did an elevated dead lift with 468.

Supra, I think I know now that I’m not squatting my Dead, because the bar no long scraps my legs, it’s like a smooth even distance from touching them.

I’m using a narrower stance, feet pointed out, it interesting, my mental focus is on that setup bar inch out near mid feet no touching the bar with legs, extend and lift, I don’t even really think about being aggressive, the weight just goes up!

    Good work!
Yesterday was squat day all day!
Extended warm up to heavy singles in socks, went 415/435/445/445/445 - vid is I think second 445. Weight seemed fairly easy but felt slow. The vid doesn't show much but at least you can see it moving well and my depth is good!

Yup 365lbs, the breathing is fcking horrible with a mask on, sometimes I drop it down between sets just to breath freely.

I honestly think I am getting sick because I workout with a mask on!

Since you should have some pretty good conferred immunity, I think you can prioritize a mask that lets you breath rather than one that filters everything out... Try a few masks that are designed for sports. I use one from Outdoor Research that is pretty good while engaged in cardio...

Didn't do a report from Friday as I got a tummy bug over the weekend, but felt well enough to push through last night and work out.
    So, two for one:
Friday: Deadlift day - was a real burner!
Did Boris deadlifts (never done them before): 3x6@365 - sheesh, feels like 12 reps with the up and down - vid is second lift.
Regular heavy-ish doubles: 3x2, 405/425/435 - vid is second set
    lat pulls 3x10
    bicep curls 3x10
    planks

Monday: Squats - low energy due to being sick but pushed through.
l also discussed dropping weight for my next comp in June because I've been stable at 200-202, and it's only a few pounds to 198. So I'll cut and hold there and see how my body responds.
Squat: regular heavy doubles in shoes: 415/425/435, vid is 435 - might have been a little high but the angle was funny too.
    3x8RDL @ 275
    BW lunges, 4x10

Why do you do a half lift then a full lift on the first deads?

Ouch! That's expensive! I got my OR one for around 30, but it's been worth it.

Apparently Boris DLs help with body positioning (see Mr Boris himself do it), and correcting weak areas. See the good article from elitefts below. I usually train each week with at least one session of regular Deads, and another with a variant (rack pulls, deficits, RDLs, paused); this one was new to me too. Looking at the article - I can see I need to work on keeping my shoulders back a little more.
