His record said 1-4 in his last 5, but several of those were among the most pick em fights in history. He put beatings on pretty much everyone who stepped in there with him, win or lose up until that last fight.
Sad to see him go but I really didnt see him getting into the title picture again at his age and after missing weight twice previously and after getting this last title shot after a loss in recognition of his other losses being so close.

This is BS. Dana's statement that he lost "3 out of 4 last fights" is garbage, Yoel was fighting the toughest opponents and all those ended in very questionable decision. All those fights were a top entertainment too, I even enjoyed the Izzy one where he turned him into a scared RUNdensanya for 5 rounds.

He probably wanted out as he was not going to get another title shot, he'll be champ in another organization.
He would have destroyed Hermansson or Vittori yesterday ( which was an awesome brawl btw).

dana must not be willing to pay him what he's asking. him getting "cut" because of his 4 losses in his last 5 and his age is just dana disguising it as such so that romeros value goes down with other organizations, which might lead to him coming back to the ufc and getting paid what dana wants to pay him
everyone knows that good case can be made for romero winning 3 of those 4 losses

Agree, Romero should be thankful he was given the hype he got in the UFC considering his very limited skill set and his cowardly performance against Izzy.
