The answer is that it doesn't protect you, it protects other people.

I'm not commenting on the veracity of this claim, just that this is reasoning behind masks.

An analogy is the difference between pissing yourself while wearing pants and pissing yourself when naked. In pants your piss is mostly contained within your trouser legs, but if you're naked your piss will go everywhere, drenching those around you.

But if Google numbers are correct and there are 64.5 million COVID cases worldwide and there is almost 8 billion people in the world... only .8% of people have gotten it a first time. So getting it at all is unlikely.

(of course there are tons of false positives and tons of countries that probably don't give accurate numbers, so all of the data is probably wrong anyway)

Masks, with their current application, actually make things worse.

At a hospital medical professionals scrub in and out, frequently replace masks when meeting patients and especially between shifts.


Mask mandates just mean people buy a rag that likely doesnt even work from some factory in china. Keep it waded up in their ass pocket majority of the day without once cleaning it. And then putting it on, while messing with it, enabling a significant amount of MORE hand to face and hand to mouth contact. So before the mask mandate I'd only get sick if someone coughed in my face. Now, I leave my mask on the table before putting it on - transferring all the germs from that table, or car seat, or wherever to direct contact with my mouth


Since mask mandates have been implemented cases have only increased when we were promised they would plummet. They do nothing except give losers false moral superiority and idiots a false sense of security

There hasn't been a lot of confirmed reinfections, but there have been a lot more than 5 or 6 in the press and self-reported. Testing hasn't been too reliable overall and when this started many people were not able to get tested. Your doctor might tell you that (based on symptoms and/or lab work) you had the virus, but since you weren't nearly dead you couldn't get a test.

I've seen a lot of self-report (no proof) and remember at least one local to the Dallas area that was reported on local television.

Saw this with my own eyes. I was sitting in the hall of the county ER when I broke my arm. Bare faces were seen.

ETA: I saw somewhere that a federal level health guy was critical of NY closing schools and saying that cases of teachers getting sick were from community spread, not from working in the schools. There still seems to be very little consistency.

I am simply repeating something I had heard from what I deem a pretty reputable source so take it for what you will... But last I had heard it was 4 people that had caught it twice or at least tested positive a second time and properly documented.. And those 4 all had severe autoimmune deficiency. And interestingly enough apparently even being at a higher risk the second time around the symptoms in all 4 were less severe to almost none at all.

Again , I am regurgitating information from a reputable source. Found it interesting enough to retain the information but not enough to go on a wild goose chase trying to fact check this through any "big tech" platforms since it went against the main stream fear mongering agenda
