    Hitting the gym while recovering from surgery

    Had labrum repair surgery last week, 2 torn tendons repaired & 4 bone spurs shaved.
    I'll be in this sling/pillow thing for at least another few weeks. Got dumped on thanksgiving lol, and i'm going stir crazy stuck at home all day.

    I got a ride t the gym Sunday night & worked legs as best I could, but I don't know if it's a good idea to work the same body part every other day. I was stared at by everyone there which made me want to leave.

    Anyways, I still have one good arm, is it a good idea to do isolation exercises on it? (bicep, tricep, delts) Or should i stick to the lower body workouts I can do?

    I'd keep your lower body workout the same as you'd do otherwise, and not up the volume/days to make up for the fact you can't do proper upper body workouts.

    Unilateral isolations is fine if ok with your doc, but personally I'd stick to maintenance while the other side is immobile, more for sanity than anything else - but not a big deal if you want to do regular progression.
