Recently after my chest workouts I am really sore. I’m not sure if it’s an over 40 thing or I need to see a physician. None of my other muscle groups are this sore after training. This soreness is even affecting my sleep. The soreness last for two to three days. Does anyone else have this issue or am I just overthinking a natural father of time issue.

Sounds like a programming issue, regardless of the age factor which may also contribute. Consider reducing volume a bit and if you're doing a bro split, choosing a program that breaks up the chest volume 2x/week or more. Adjust based on how you feel.
Of course, see a doctor if you're concerned it's something more serious.

Above advice is all good... I work my chest hard, buy after years of training my chest barely gets sore (unless I do a lot of flyes, and even then it's just a "good" one-day sore). Additionally
I have had "Costochondritis" in the past: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-...s/syc-20371175
It's no big deal except for the soreness. Basically it's "inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone"

Did you change up your exercise to something you don't normally do? Maybe you went much harder than last time?
If it's not normal soreness and more of sharp pain, you might want to get it checked out if it doesn't subside in the next couple daysAge: 42
