These people next door keep going out to their car and slamming the car door and hitting the lock button causing a beep and they park like 12 feet away from my office window and the BANG SLAM from the car door scares the hell out of me. I will be sitting here in the quiet and all of a sudden the loud SLAM BANG from their door is jarring. The BOOM thumps my chest and startles me. They do this about 20 times a day and I am not exaggerating. What do you think they are getting out of their car? Cigarettes? Why not keep whatever it is inside the house? These people are getting on my nerves.

Why would someone go out to their car 20x a day but not go anywhere?

It is jarring because the noise comes out of nowhere. I will be sitting here reading something or typing and out of the silence the loud SLAM BOOM of the door thumps my chest and causes my heart to skip. Idk how people live like this.
My walls are concrete block and the floor is tile and the windows are old thin single pane windows. Maybe that causes an amplification of the sound?

No I have no idea what to do. I tried wearing headphones but the sound is so loud I can feel it thump my chest.
That's the only thing I can think of
I'm not on medication but drink like 3 diet sodas a day. Probably 120 mg of caffeine. My walls are concrete block and I think it amplifies the sound somehow
