I made barbell cushions (so my neighbors wouldn't hate me)

A little proud of this, so I thought I would share

I was getting noise and vibration complaints from neighbors, so I built my own "slam pads." They do a great job absorbing the impact of a weighted barbell. Check out the pics I posted as attachments.

I made two versions-- one stuffed with mini pellets, and another with a dense foam. Both work well, but the foam ones feel a bit sturdier.

A pleasant surprise was that they also work great catching heavy dumbbells when I'm using the bench. I also stack them and use them for box jumps and step ups!

I'm thinking of refining the design and making more. Are these something any other home gym people would want?

Do you know the silent pads??? I remember there are two brands commercialising them. But they cost like 500 dollars.
I haven't heard of that brand, but I have seen some professional ones being sold for $199-299.
