LMAO @ police officers making 100k yearly for writing traffic tickets and harassing citizens
LMAO @ sergeants and lieutenants making 200k year easily
LMAO @ their retirements and pensions being 250K yearly LMAO
all payed for by the taxpayer
Do you really believe they deserve that type of money?
They're literally traffic cops. They don't defend crime at all.

Police officers and their bloated pensions are destroying towns/cities (SRS)

It's one of the most comfy jobs not requiring a college education.
Only being a detective necessitates some sort of CJ degree.
But if they were paid less, you would see a worsening in policing.
The 6 figures number is for senior officers and very few cops in America actually get paid that much.Cash Rules Everything Around Me

As a cop, thanks for paying your taxes while I watch Netflix most of my shift.
Oh and you're welcome for my serviceSurvival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Agree except raising wage. we could potentially hire more as it would reduce overtime that cops love to work. However unions so strong most cops probably make more money in their lifetime during retirement than when working.
I don't blame them. Met a guy one time retired at 43 in that easy time. Worked a ton of OT young retired early with reduced pension and set for life in that easy mode.

If you don't like it, don't live in a city. Move to a rural community without a police force. Law enforcement contributes directly to the rise in property values.
I know someone that bought a house in a city 30 years ago for 400k. 8 bedroom 5 bathroom. Average home is 150k there so its a upscale place. 20 years ago police force was disbanded there. Fast forward 20 years and crime is out of control. That 400k home is worth 275ish. Decent 3 bedroom 2 bath homes there can be had for 75-125k. Etc. Place hasn't really died but it hasn't grown in 30 years either. Despite having a port so steady oilfield work.
