Really what saves you money is having a paid off car, then you don't necessarily need collision insurance.
I have a BMW with 100k miles on it that is surprisingly durable. As long as you have a good cheap mechanic to work on it, my car has only been in the shop once this year, and that's to get the struts replaced(nothing actually impacting the functionality) for $400. So with the $1000 in insurance, I have been able to drive a nice looking luxury car this year for a total of $1400. Even a new domestic car would cost at least $4000 all in, and I'd rather drive my current car than a new domestic.

Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Rebranding is a real thing. Deal with it. There are certain things that people make better. NSK, BCA, SKF, Koyo bearings are all OEM manufacturers and all made in Japan.
Alot of bosch is made in Germany especially the fueling parts.
Most motor mounts that aren't OEM are crap.
Gaskets are made by Ishino Stone or Felpro etc.
AISEN makes cooling parts for honda, Nissan, Toyota etcThanks for your input, you frauding fat slampig-Sirfapsalot '20

Its either a Kia or Koenigsegg. Anything else is pure cope. A mid tier "sports" or "luxury" car like a copestang or copemw is attainable for even poorcels.
Just drop $9k on a used 2013 Camry and pay full coverage for 3-4 years and then cut back to limited and drive it into the ground. You don't have to worry about scratches or dings like you would with a $30-40k car. You know its life will be coming to an end someday. Put the money towards a house or your retirement or something that could one day get you that Koenigsegg. No signature

Yea I can see that not having to make payments is good excuse to buy a beetur but its not that good. And its not that hard for most people to put it on automatic payments. Its really about not having to pay more upfront. Nobody is going to buy a beetur just because you don't have to make payments or finance alone. Please read my original post. It will make sense once you realise that you are paying much much more for a beetur because its deceptively cunning.

This is about buying cheap beeturs in the 4-8k range vs entry level cars like the Chevy Spark(14k). This isn't about beeturs vs who knows what you are buying new.
And I do know alot more about cars than you. Like so much more. Its not even funni how much more I know. You are like an ant to me. Its like a 110lbs highschooler in the ring with Mike Tyson in his prime. I'd uppercut you into parking lot.*Catholic Crew*

Been an mechanic for over 20 years now. I drive a 2018 Silverado. I have the ability to fix about anything, the tools to do it, the place to do it. I can get parts cheaper, all of that. I drive a newer vehicle because I don't want to drive an old vehicle for many reasons. Although not the best economic choice especially for me, I can confirm that having a beater isn't all that. From what I've seen, there is a reason a $5K car is only $5K, and it's most likely really worth 3K. Sure, some people luck out, but most don't. I had to condemn a car recently because it had wiring problems and the harness isn't available anymore, and for me to go through it and rewire it will cost more in labor than the vehicle is worth. Most of all it sucks driving around a chitbox.

This is actually somewhat based. If you aren't a carcel, your vehicle is either going to be a washing machine-like appliance for scooting around or it's for MOGGING poorcels and driving them further into depression.
Are you really MOGGING anyone with a $40k car? I see hundreds of them every day. They're meaningless.
