It's official I'm 50. I'm happy where I'm at fitness wise but need some fine tuning and there's always room for improvements. The first is to slow down on the beer intake, it's just time to get that under control. And starting a brand new split next week which will be:
Day 1 Chest/Shoulders
Day 2 Back/traps
Day 3 off
Day 4 Legs
Day 5 arms
John Meadows was talking about this split and looks really interesting. Personally I never liked the idea of just an arm day but never tried it before, so why not do something completely different.

Let us know how it goes. I'm not really a fan of just doing certain muscles one day a week either, that's why I do full body workouts three days a week. I like to hit the same parts with different exercises more throughout a week's period. There's more than one way to skin a cat I'm sure and like Ezra said, Mountaindog knows his stuff.

You could test it.
But you could also do upper/lower split. Or combine a large muscle group with an arm group.
I.e.
Day 1: Chest, tri's
Day 2: Back, bi's
Day 3: Shoulders, traps, (arms if ya want to emphasize that), abs
Day 4: Legs
Day 5: Off
Repeat, and implement a rest day whenever you feel necessary.
