    You mean in the ICU.

OP and a bunch of others ITT is what's wrong with this country and why this virus is raging out of control.

    The overflow NEVER happened

Furthermore 1/3 of staff was furloughed. The hospital didn't need the staff! LOL

FURTHERMORE the hospital needed to make money back that it lost from agreeing to covid and closing down to all surgeries and cancers and other issues aside from the cold also known as covid.

    Whoops.

See thats where you all lose. I work at a major ****ing hospital and I work with the ****ing healthcare practitioners that matter, every, damn, day
Hur dur.. my hospital isn't overflowing therefore no hospitals are.

But then again you shared an anecdotal case of a grandma from the fuking federalist as proof that lockdowns are worse than 265,000 deaths and counting..

What do testing numbers have to do with record hospitalizations and deaths?

You should be worried with that guy. Obesity death rates are high.

I like how you say “you work at a hospital.” Not that I’m a nurse or doctor. You just disinfect the toilets.

Your inability to see big picture or how things develop over time is astounding. This isn't killing healthy 40 yr olds. Of the people it does prematurely kill, most were within a very short time of their expiration date already. Median Covid death is 81 yrs old, several years older than the average American. Under age 70 is about a 99.95% infection survivability rate now. Very sick people and people with congenital health issues die.

Hundreds of awful side effects and misery from the lockdowns and shutdowns can be listed. While not immediate, more people, more YOUNG people are set to die in the coming 5 years caused by shutdowns. Those 'elective' procedures like tumor removal getting postponed by weeks to months. Or some with atrial fibrillation getting an ablasion procedure delayed by months, hundreds and hundreds of other procedures delayed, often until it's too late. Normally 160,000 Americans are diagnosed with cancer each month. Very few have been screened since this started. Patients with existing cancer not getting the individualized care they need. It's more grim with heart disease. The excess deaths caused by Covid will long outlive Covid. Covid will be mostly wiped out in 3 months from now and will almost not exist in 6 months. The excess deaths caused by shutdowns will go on for years afterward. The misery for some passed on for generations. Then there's the financial ruin. Economic depression is unavoidable at this point. It will be preceded by some recovery, but we cannot outrun the debt being created now. Cue the suicides, which we'll have excess numbers of for years and years. Cue the increased domestic violence, child abuse, drug abuse, alcoholism, etc etc etc. From the shutdowns, economic despair, and stress. Life savings gone, homes gone, "bread" lines that of course today people lined up in cars will be long for years. Eviction of millions is about to hit. You think those don't have knock-on effects. Think of the butterfly effect. Family is evicted, they don't all just recover and are back to normal in a few months.

Already tons of especially the elderly dying of isolation and loneliness. Giving up, thereby dying prematurely like the virus itself is causing in some. Even with that fact in mind, the reactions to this virus are killing and wrecking the lives of young people for a decade, so the sickest and oldest among us can live weeks or months longer.

But me writing this is like trying to tell get a blind man to see. The effects of lockdowns are far worse than the virus. Should be interesting when peeps like you start blaming the economic depression we're delaying on "conservatards."

No-one is advocating for lock downs, but we will eventually have to get them again because of idiots like yourself and op that keep trying to downplay the seriousness of the virus. Practice physical distancing and wear your masks to avoid needless suffering and deaths. 300k+ have died this year in comparison to a normal year. This blows your covid conspiracies out of the water. If not for covid, 300k + more people would be alive today. There is also a significant amount of people who didn't die but are still suffering symptoms from the virus many months later. We are talking about a potential 1 million+ of people who will have some form of new long term disability that will take them out of the workforce.

Stop being a phucking retard and just take basic precautions. Stop downplaying the seriousness of a once in a century pandemic.

Will someone please stop and think about all the ICU beds?? If we manage to save even 1 bed, the lockdowns are justified

Practically everyone is taking basic precautions outside of people they see on a regular basis. Many deaths caused by Covid have nothing to do with the virus, but are caused by the fear and immobility it has caused. Dying with stage 4 cancer, then also testing positive for Covid is classified as a Covid death. 83 yr old slips, cracks their head and dies of internal bleeding. They test positive for the virus (which is appears to be in 8-10% of us just right now, let alone the prior 8 months).....counted as a Covid death. The law of unintended consequences. Try seeing what's beyond an arm's length. The reactions to the virus are killing more than the virus. It's visible more so over time and entirely predictable.

"I’m guessing that the scenario with the vaccine will be that, after they jab a good number of victims, they will report that the covid numbers are going down and the vaccine will end up “ending the crisis.” Then, the next time they pull this hoax, they will make the vaccines mandatory because it’s been “proven to work” so no one will have the right to refuse."

Just in my general area, I've seen a few businesses shutdown for good. I.e. as in never coming back. The same people whining about how they care about the little man, are the same people crying about how we should wear a mask and have lockdowns. Also funny how all the big corporations made a ton of money. It's also funny how not a single hospital overflowed despite case numbers skyrocketing in the beginning.

Here is my conclusion: People are fukin lazy and egotistical. Especially so-called "frontline workers". They got hired to deal with the worst aspects of society and instead of facing it head on, they cowered and asked big daddy government to shield them from being "overworked". I wonder how many lives could have been saved if they actually did their job and weren't busy making tik toks. No offense to any healthcare employed miscer but ya'll are some of the whiniest folks after teachers.

In the end the true winners were the big business owners. They squashed out a ton of small businesses. Most big business never increased their customer support staff and they got away with increasing their prices. (This is the case in Montreal). I can't wait for all the quarterly reports. Massive profits everywhere for sure.

Companies like Costco, Walmart, Loblaws should have some of their revenue taken and given to small businesses.

Can't see Trudeau ever being smart enough to figure something like that out though.

This may end up the biggest upward transfer of wealth in western history. And we haven't seen the full economic fallout, not by a long shot. A housing bust is on the menu. It's merely been kicked down the road. There will be large corporate hands demanding a bailout when the foreclosures are allowed to start coming through.

If a bailout happens for that, get ready for monetary inflation. Mmm, $15 for a loaf of bread.

This is the thing people cannot wrap their heads around: the fact that the globalists will and do spend huge amounts of money doing things like this *just for the appearance*, just to "make the threat seem real". Achieving convincing deception is priceless to them, because they get as much mileage as they want out of it, for as long as they want. By doing this, also they make the majority of the public perceive actual critical thinkers as completely insane, and "dangerous" because now they're supposedly walking weapons of mass destruction.
