Probably the most talented singer of all time as far as vocal range. Just didn't sing with a lot of emotion. I just heard a song from Tate McRae that mogs anything Mariah put out.

Just practicing her songs has gotten me through some major rough patches during this crazy pandemic (when I couldn't lift, I'd channel my Emotions into her soulful music and her unique artistry). She will Always Be MY Baby and I'd give MY All to be able to sing exactly the way she does. I try, I try, I try.. I try to deny it but still she's invading my mind...Oh, no...I just can't get her out of my mind.. I know I can make her mine.. And every time I see her in my dreams.. You know I can't, I can't Let Her Go".... I can't let her music go, that is....

She looked good back in the day and she has a really powerful voice. Unfortunately, like the majority of these 'pop' singers, she chose to piss away her talent on bland, banal music other people wrote, sacrificing art for fame. I'm pretty sure she's a complete nutcase of a human being as well.

Anyone who says she has "bland" music has never tried to sing her songs. She has some of the most difficult melodies, rifts and notes to sing in those pop songs. She can probably sing any genre (including opera like her mom).

Vocal talent is real but the songs themselves are garbage. I think the fact that she's able to create interesting vocal melodies over such bland, cookie-cutter, radio-friendly songs exemplifies the overall vocal talent and also reinforces the tragedy of her career.
