If Roy Jo do what he do or don't do what he do --------------[long pause]----------------- he gonna get knocked the fuk out no matter what he do.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

“Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. rules and regulations revealed”
https://combatworldnews.com/2020/11/...ions-revealed/
First and foremost, Foster emphasized that fans should not expect a real fight or an official winner—though the WBC will score the fight unofficially.
“There’s no official judges,” Foster said, outlining the rules for this Tyson vs. Jones clash. “The WBC is going to have some guest celebrity judges remotely, not official, not 10-9 [scores], nothing like that. No cumulative score. No winner announced.
It was obviously very calculated of them not to release the "not declaring a winner" thing until last minute. I think most people expected modified rules but the whole NO WINNER thing takes away any pretense of competition. Interesting how Foster tap dances around it "there will be no winner, but there will be celebrity judges, who will maybe pick an "entertainment" winner, but that pick won't actually be a winner".
I have a feeling a lot of people are going to order this not knowing exactly what it is and be pissed off.To resist despair

I guess. Either way if VADA is doing real drug testing, it is going to be a really sad match, with both of them gassing out pretty fast and looking like old men in the ring.
If VADA testing is a sham and they are allowed to go all out then maybe it can actually be a pretty explosive fight for a round or two.To resist despair

Tyson, although one of the greatest heavy weights ever, IMO has something to prove, he left the ring and boxing on a downward spiral and was an embarrassment to himself. Roy doesn't really have anything to prove he is well respected in the game.
They both look good sparring/training, but in the ring it's different, because you will be getting hit when you hit and that is a way different animal than sparring. A shot to the ribs, the obliques, the side of the head, or chin will slow you down both mentally and physically.
I'll give it to Tyson now the same way I would have given it to Tyson if they had met in their prime. On the list for Bannukah

Good assessment, Johnny. I believe Tyson last fought in 2005 and his last few fights back then he fought just for the money and his heart was not in it. I have never seen him train like this even when he was serious 2 decades ago. He has been training as if Cus was still alive. If Jones has an edge, it would be cardio.
I think he is dangerous and not afraid of getting hit. He expects to get hit.Helping one person may not change the world, but it could change the world for one person.

Could you imagine how pissed off everyone would be if they actually treated it like an exhibition? I halfway think they will get out there and ham it up for 6 rounds and troll the sh!t out of everyone.....
....but, if they take it seriously, I'd have to go with Tyson. It is hard to predict though because both of these guys are waaayy past their fighting days and it may be a contest to see who has deteriorated the least over the past 20 years. Tyson looks impressive in the promo vids, but hitting mitts doesn't tell you much about how he is going to perform against an actual person.
Pretty incredible how much interest there is in this fight. He was so dominant in his prime that people would get excited about his fights even when it was clear that he was a shell of his former self... hoping they could just catch a glimpse of early Mike -- And it is still happening...people are still excited to see a geriatric Tyson step in the ring once again in the off-chance that he will deliver one of those devastating knockouts...and yes, I am one of themIt takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I disagree man, even though it is an exhibition and probably more for publicity/show more than anything else, these guys are "fighters" man and it is in their blood and regardless of age once they are in the ring that fire comes out. I think this will be a very very interesting fight.

Even in his prime Roy could never take a punch when hit hard. Mike's heart disappeared usually when confronted with someone who had any boxing skills who wasn't crapping their pants before the bell rang . He was exciting to watch, but I was never overly impressed with him as a fighter. Just MY opinion.
If Roy has any boxing skills left he will frustrate the hell out of Mike. He better watch his ears though.COYS!
