What's the difference? Just filled out a form. Under race it had: American Indian, Asian, White, Black, or Pacific Islander. The ethnicity choices were limited to Hispanic or Latino or not Hispanic or Latino.

This is an easy question to answer. Someone who is "Hispanic" can be a member of ANY RACE. They can be white, black, Native American, Asian-or any combination of the above. When someone is listed as "Hispanic", it just means that they speak Spanish. They can be a member of ANY race.

There are a million different definitions of race now. I like the old school definition of 4 races

Australoid - SE Asia and Australian natives.

Ethnicities under this would include - Vietnamese, Indonesian, etc

Mongoloid - north and central Asian

Caucasian - Europeans

The US government adopted the term hispanic to differentiate Mexicans from native born Americans. I'm being totally srs. Look it up
