It's like I just assume they are up to something shady giving me bullchit results and trying to track me and chit. I find myself using duckduckgo all the time now on a basis of how I distrust Google search.

For several years now, I feel like we've reverted to older systems where you only trust information from professional sources. I thought otherwise for a few years until the corruption grew too much. Maybe Trump 1.0 caused it.

Yea I haven't switched yet though due to so many accounts being with google. Drive, gmail, have a voice account too lol.
Just a few days ago I was searching for something. I typed in the exact website name and it didn't show up on google's first two pages. Went to bing and typed the same thing and it was the very first result - which was what I was looking for.
It was something to do with politics - go figure.

I actually think they still have pretty decent services, like gmail is fine and google maps and chit but their search engine is just straight garbage. One thing I dislike is how they changed up their results algorithm a few years back, it comes back with news articles and recent pages on the first page now instead of the informative pages/the results I’m looking for
Also don’t like all the data they collect and store across their services and that you have to dig deep into privacy settings to try and disable them. Same as FB and I guess most things nowadays.

I used to use bing but when back to google because of chrome and how easy it is to just search chit in the address bar. Any alternatives to chrome? Talking about mobile browsers.... Tried Opera don't like it at all.
As for gmail, I can't leave that. I have to many thing linked to that email.

I realized a long time ago that Google search sprews out biased search results. Honestly, it'd pretty blatant, and not hard to figure out. Been using duckduckgo as my default search engine, and certainly don't use Chrome as my browser.
Their anti-Trump bias is nothing new. Type in "Trump" any give day on Google search engine since 2015, and you wouldn't find a single even remotely positive result without digging deeping than that.Originally Posted by Slurgie

Dissenter and Brave seem to be the best alternatives these days. Opera has been around forever and it's always been chit. Firefox used to be a big browser but it's been chit for a long time now.
