I always did and still do expect the story to be the shining element of this game, can't wait to get into it

This. If the Witcher 3 fanboys are honest with themselves they know the combat in Witcher 2/3 sucked. It was the atmosphere and story that overshadowed how bad the combat was and is what made it such a great game. I expect that Cyberpunk will be the same thing, most RPG fans are going to love it while the FPS crowd is going to hate it.

So the things that make a great RPG resulted in a great RPG. And they intend to make another great RPG.
Shocking.
Meanwhile they should be concerned about the combat, despite Bugthesda making bank on their outdated offline MMORPG simulator for ADHD idiots - aka Skyrim - with its nonexistent combat system/writing/character progression/story choices.
Ok.

Talk about aggressive virtue signaling. I think the point is just how politics have become a big part of them these days, and how the company culture has changed dramatically. We have seen the effects of this sort of thing at Blizzard and I don't think anyone could say it's been for the better by now. That said we will have to wait and see how this game turns out before we start attacking them for it.

I actually do not like sword games and had trouble getting into it. The same goes for Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which is a nice game.
I like playing "tactical" games where I have to plan things. You can't do that with a sword. Assassin's has a bow, so I can use that, but having a beautiful and huge game where combat is about pressing a couple buttons over and over is boring to me.If you want to ask me a question:

One of the selling points for me was reading that side quests in Witcher 3 were better than a lot of main quests in other games.
When I finally got it, I understood what they meant. Sure, it's still a lot of go here, kill this come back, but the way the quests are structured and the lore and story behind so many of the, were just amazing. It's like, no content was cut at all, and they PACKED the game with QUALITY stories everywhere. I never felt like "Well, guess I'll go kill 20 scorpions so NPC can stfu and pay me" you know?
If the creative minds that wrote The Witcher 3 are writing this, I have no doubt whatsoever that I, as an RPG lover, will love Cyberpunk.
I actually enjoyed the combat. I never expect GoW level action in most RPGs, so not really hard to please in that department. I mean, look at how many people love Skyrim, and that combat system is super basic.***The Misadventires of Gandalf the Black***

You're likely still in White Orchard. If you are an RPG fan, keep going. I swear you'll understand fairly soon. White Orchard is tutorial Zone. After than, you have 3 huge zones packed with things. Novigrad is my favorite medieval city in any rpg I've played. Honorable mention to Toussaint (Blood and Wine DLC).
How many city names do you remember from RPGs? Novigrad will certainly be one that leaves a lasting impression. Others prefer Skellige for the viking feel, but I prefer the grimy, dirty underbelly of the city.***The Misadventires of Gandalf the Black***

PC master races aren't gonna stop shutting up about how much better it is for us in this game lol, but at the cost of what? 5 times more the cost of a PS5?
I'll just try not to think about it much when I'm playing the game on a RTX 3090 lol...
