    I don't.

When I first started playing guitar someone insisted Zappa was the greatest. I tried, but I just couldn't like it.

I have respect by association for him. A lot great musicians think he's great, so he must be, just not my thing. Sounds like aimless noodling to me.

Or maybe I haven't listened enough or maybe I've only heard the miss portions. Maybe if I laid on the sofa for an hour and listened with my eyes closed with headphones I'd have an epiphany like I did for John Coltrane.

Well I take Zappa’s music seriously, because it is serious music at the end of the day.

Weird Al is nothing like Zappa as far as musical complexity.

Motzart is serious music but it’s too soft to me, I prefer Edgar verez which was Zappa’s influence, the styles are identical.

Zappa’s catalog is pretty large and it’s easy to find much to dislike; quality control was a bit of an issue. There are definitely albums that are more accessible than others. Lots of good Zappa guitar work on YouTube though.

As you go the way of life, you will see a great chasm. Jump. It is not as wide as you think.

As a music person myself I know that was very good, personally it’s not my taste but I don’t call it garbage cause it ain’t.

Zappa’s theme to Burnt weenie sandwich isn’t garbage eithier.

When Zappa conducted Lumpy Gravy electrical orchestra the symphony looked at the music and said this BS do you even know what your doing, we can’t do this, Zappa picked up his guitar and played the fuker on his guitar, they then knew they were dealing with someone serious.

I did not say all Zappa was garbage, I said that particular garbage that you were listening to was garbage. Random notes played super fast. Also known as garbage. Like I said, I am pretty sure Frank Zappa recorded that to make fun of people like you. I will also wager over 9000 dollars that the only reason that you played it was for our benefit and that you don't actually like that garbage

Here is a pretty good live version of that song. The guitar part starts at the 2 minute mark.

I think the best way to appreciate him is live. He wrote his own kind of tablature, which musicians applying to tour with him had to learn how to read. In the audition. His exacting standards are legendary. When you saw him live, you heard exactly what he wanted you to hear.

Christ, I think we actually have found someone on this forum dumber than myself.

When you asked me during my squat video when that was I should’ve just been straight up and told you to look at the post, instead I foolishly told you again Easter, but I guess I’m the dummy.

The Mozart stuff is the same thing, random fuking scales the difference in both is the “key” Zappa stayed in the c#minor and other minor keys. I happen to like improvising the way Zappa did things, sure Mozart may of wrote it first.

I stay up late like every night looking for Zappa music, it’s something I like to do with that little free time, if I didnt like why would find a rare solo like that, hell I can name other titles and dates, if I didn’t like it, how would I know?

Btw Zappa also customized his pickups, somehow, I don’t know how but he had a hard sound from that SG in the late 70s and a watery sound on a Gibson in 81. Plus lots more sounds.

If Zappa thought that solo was garbage to laugh at me, fine, I’ve listened to that solo about 10 times in the last 2 weeks and I continue to like it.

But something else you don’t know is that I enjoy the very early Mother’s live shows like sleeping in a jar, this goes beyond his guitar stuff, I love the drums and the horns and I really love the annoying voice of Roy Estrada laughing like a lunatic, no other music has that.

I’d love to have a chitty garage band and just do chit like that, but I’m not talented enough, I’m probially a better at lifting.

You should check out Allan Holdsworth. He looks like a dad playing guitar, but he was Zappa’s favorite guitarist for a reason.

I will, but I probably won't like it as much as Zappa. Hell I don't even like Steve Vai's music, I can't get into it, and that ain't garbage.

What eomrat don't get is, to me, the Mothers sound is something I find truly unique and I can defiantly admit some of it sounds like garbage, but it's good garbage and like I said, I'm not talented enough for that, BUT I can play easy BS like AC/DC stuff, not perfect but better than I can play any Zappa.

Even Zappa said in an interview the Mothers means "collection of motherfukers, musicians" but we are far from great, Frank said "we were right there down in the swamp", If motorhead didn't really know how to play that big sax, well he sure of chit made that sound nice with fast garbage he was playing.

Speaking of "fast" Zappa was really fast in the late 60's and that was pretty rare too, even it was easy notes to king eomrat!

US calls for halt on Johnson & Johnson vaccination over blood clot fears

The FDA and CDC have announced that they are calling for an immediate pause on the use of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Tuesday after discovering six cases in the United States of a rare and severe type of blood clot that developed about two weeks after the vaccine was administered in these patients.

Out of seven million people who got the J&J vaccine, six got blood clots. Fewer than one in a million.

Out of seven million people who get Covid19, over a million will get blood clots.

Not saying the pause is not justified, but put it in perspective: you're two-hundred thousand times more likely to get blood clots from the virus than you are from the vaccine.

Again, they should pause while they check things out.

Here are some numbers relative to the AZ vaccine:

But you can still get the virus AFTER vaccination, too. 6 reported so far...

Its amazing. When covid started, if you were in a car wreck and died, it was likely a covid death. (only a SLIGHT exaggeration.) Now, it's almost impossible for anything to be linked to the vaccinates.
