It's all about the booty these days. At my covid gym, I see women there for over an hour doing nothing but squats and lunges and a variety of hip thrusts and booty-specific stuff. My main gym is a college gym with a lot of athletes. They're doing lots of cleans and deadlifts and squats. You will see them bench press and do some other upper body. Don't recall seeing pull-ups. A lot of the other college girls are doing hip thrusts and lunges. Honestly, I think hip thrusts is the #1 exercise I see women doing. My wife does an full body workout, but does include hip thrusts.
I've been working out at college gyms for many years. There was a definite shift about the time of the advent of crossfit. Cleans and deadlifts became way more popular all of a sudden. Still popular along with squats. You do see guys benching of course. Some isolation work. A lot of people of both sexes doing kettle bells and various mobility movements and jumping around.
At my covid gym I do see quite a few upper only guys. Which I guess I am these days.
You almost never see anyone under 60 on the machines. I take that back, you do see some girls and a few guys do what looks like a quick circuit with machines, not a bad idea if you want to get in and out quick and do a little something for general health. But you can grab a machine any time. The 10 squat racks with platforms are always jammed with people waiting.
Don't think I've seen anyone on an exercise ball at either gym, but maybe I'm not in the section where they do that.
Like I said, with the popularity of crossfit and the emphasis on the booty most women I see are doing actual lifting if they bother to lift at all.

My post says someone who lifts regularly, and the majority of the population does not train as well as I do, even most serious folk use questionable supplements and other BS like creatine.
Also when it comes to "rolling" your biggest fear other than a small guy with great cardio, is a big guy with excellent cardio.

I know this is a kind of old thread. However, I am very Immuno deficient. So besides the social distancing and my designer mask collection ya know. In January I got my first shot. In February of course I got my second. I got mine through the Dept of VA of course.
What really makes me smh is the logistic cf of the deployment of the vaccine in some states. That is a whole different topic and box of snakes.*Cardinals, Blues, Chiefs, MLS *

I was reading or watching something about it and it looks really promising for some of the neuromuscular degenerative diseases and also looking at it for helping prevent Alzheimer’s. Maybe it’s just a false correlation because many of us old fuks who take creatine don’t get Alzheimer’s due to all of these mentally stimulating convos about rolling and teeth lifting in the 035 misc

Yeah horrible disease, it’s not good for the relatives of the person that’s for sure. That said, my wife’s grandma had it toward the end of her life and seemed happy as a clam. She was also blind as a bat. She liked having some cold Coors originals and listening to Cubs games and old westerns. She always seemed like she was having the time of her life the few times I met her srs. Was seemingly locked in eternal blissfulness, I know some can be kinda of unpredictable, mean etc.
