I have heard of things like this as well. This is obviously a subject that could be spun and used to push an agenda. Only once in my real life have I heard of someone being turned away from a hospital because of capacity issues.

With that said, doesn't take away from the seriousness of the issue, real shame even if it's very infrequent.

Agree, self-reported data is not a reliable or even valid data to use for a study. Should be medically verified cases only. That said I still fail to see the benefit of mandatory vaccination for anyone, and specifically for low risk populations. After reviewing the study, I don’t think it would/will do well or survive the close analysis/ peer review process.

That said I still fail to see the benefit of mandatory vaccination for anyone, and specifically for low risk populations.

Yes, it really angers me both for the precedent it sets as well as the fear/politcially driven motives rather than data driven risks.

Oh btw, I just got an email saying my religious exemption was approved...for one year. (I quit my job last week) lol, I would have to go into a clinic and get tested every 2 weeks. Which I find more dangerous than just staying home and working.

Interestingly I was recently turned away from pretty much all the hospitals in my state when I thought I had some sorta heart issue/attack. The place I was at was trying to get me moved to another hospital in the state overnight by ambulance. Took all night and ended up having to just stay where I was. This was a few months ago.

It was kinda crazy, I was in the ICU. After bloodwork and ekg I was not in immediate danger but apparently all other places were at capacity. Unsure if they were trying to get me into another ICU or just regular admittance.

Only that if the article said the boys were more likely to be hospitalized from the vaccine, the study didn't. It seems to look at all cardiac AEs. I only read the pre-print and skipped the newspaper article.

You have to be careful looking at something like this. It's just a pre-print, but I still wonder why they're conflating all cardiac AEs post a vaccine with COVID related hospitalizations? Why not at least try to compare it with similar cardiac events from catching the virus?

We grade AEs from Mild to Severe and if they result in a hospitalization they're SAEs, so "serious adverse events".
It's hard to know how many kids who catch the virus have a cardiomyopathy, but if we're saying the spike protein causes it, and the risk decreases post vaccination with increasing age, then it's likely that more 12-15 year old boys get some cardiac event after catching SARS CoV2 than college aged boys/men who catch SARS CoV2. After all, they're very similar proteins. Now I don't know how we'd try to find a bunch of 12-15 year old boys to test, but since the big 10 athletes were getting tested, a few clever cardiologists at Ohio State did manage to run a study in college athletes pre vaccine. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...rticle/2780548

If we compare these. A peer reviewed published article and an odd pre-print:
The risk of a symptomatic cardiomyopathy after actually catching SARS CoV2 in college athletes was .31%. Higher if we don't need obvious clinical symptoms.
The risk of any cardiac AE from the vaccine in the 12-15 year old boys post vaccine 2 was 162/1,000,000 or .0162%. So the potentially higher risk age group had one twentieth the incidence from the vaccine that the older boys/men had from the actual virus.

Those cardiac AEs aren't necessarily as well confirmed as the cardiomyopathies in the college athletes, and we don't what our capture rate is, but even so, once you see how common a cardiac symptom from the virus are, the vaccine looks pretty good again.

Not sure however there have been way to many coincidental issues after the jab with people in my network. They gave her a drug I think it was Ivermectin and she's doing better since.
