Now we might easily end up getting the *big* student loan forgiveness package rammed up our ass without any consensus at all, and there will be no ammunition to argue it out because the GOP gave up all credibility on fiscal responsibility.

A Clinton presidency would probably have been less damaging to conservatives than this, as Clinton would have been unpopular and GOP would have likely held on to the House in 2018. He even pardoned Blagojevich, Kilpatrick, Melgen. If Trump were a Democratic sleeper agent sent to destroy conservatism by raising a zombie army of morons and burning down all their credibility, I can't think of much that he would have done differently.
