With Trump out, do you think the party will get back to its principals or at least start to acknowledge objective reality and show an interest in governing? If the party is too far gone, do you think its even possible for the emergence of another party that would cater to the moderate republicans and blue-dog type democrats and centrists?

Is the Republican Party permanently lost?
“The Misc. is a stone-faced Uncle Sam with Popeye’s forearms and a cocked pistol in each hand. It’s a screeching bald eagle with a foreign Bad Thing in its talons. It’s everything that defines America’s bro culture, magnified and weaponized. But it’s deeper than that.“

This depends if they let the war mongering neocons back in or if they continue to support Trump-like populism. The "moderate republican" that never met a war he didn't like needs to die.
The Republicans need to embrace Trumpism. Trump just got the second most votes in history. This is because he is Trump. Biden got the most votes not because he's Joe Biden, because he's not Trump. You get some republicans that embrace Trump but are not Trump, they have a good chance of rebuilding the party.^^^()()GERMANIC CREW()()^^^

A lot of low propensity working class people across racial lines voted for Trump due to his attitude. Pretty sure they aren't going to be voting for Republicans in the future. I think they know the R party hates them and only cares about wealthy special interests. Trump was just different.
It's all over boyos.

The Democrats I think have pandered to the mob and the far-leftists which have turned off more moderate people, but because it is Trump, many are voting Democrat. I know personally a lot of people like this. Trump has made some increases among the minority vote and wonder if this will carry on past 2020 into future elections. If all you listened to was MSM you would swear that Trump is literally Hitler incarnate. But I think Trump in a way has exposed a lot of what is wrong despite him being very imperfect himself and as a result more attention and more eyes are being put on to politics and people are looking into it more. Where people would automatically punch a ticket for Democrat I think people are questioning it more the more they look into things.
The messaging from the Democrats has been complete garbage and hypocritical. They've literally rode the Obamatrain for 12 years now with Joe Biden as the nominee but they can't do so forever. Who do the democrats have besides him? A lot can happen within the next 4-8 years but still. Even right now it seems like they are having some sort of internal struggle between the far leftists types and the more moderate. But despite pandering to the mob, I don't think the Democrats will do chit for them, they were basically used as a political pawn to get them on their side to get rid of Trump and will be forgotten about and tossed to the curb like trash. Their interests lie in power and big corp.
Sounds like cope but even if Biden wins, unless they can change the direction of their party it won't look good for them. The guy already wants to attempt to institute national mask mandates and lockdowns. Republicans would also be at a crossroads especially without Trump. But I would have more faith in republicans putting forth a candidate who can also appeal to the more moderate leaning democrats or those that voted democrat in 2020, they'd be more willing to compromise and change their messaging. Because some of the chit Democrats been been pushing is absolutely insane by any standard.
Republicans at this point should rename itself the DJT party and put forth a candidate who would basically be Trump minus how unhinged he comes across.positivity brah crew

They face a serious demographics challenge with regards to voter age. It's bigger than any other challenge or personality figure in the party...
Older voters who pass on are not being replaced at the rate the Democrats are growing from young voters...who stay.
That said, there's a lot of Trump supporters, so someone like him (populism, grievance identity politics) could come along next and probably win the primary.
Idk if that person could realistically win, though. Each cycle will get more challenging until they figure out how to reach young voters.EX IGNORANTIA AD SAPIENTIAM
