Should I buy a house/condo if I don't plan on living there long-term?
I am thinking of buying a house (Well more of a Condo); however, I think there is a strong possibility that I don't live here in the next 3-5 years. I've always wanted to move to a different city. I am thinking of buying this house and then renting/leasing it out to someone else. Is that a good idea?
I am against apartments, I tried it for a year. I want to make an investment and get value in return and own something.
That's a good idea. I rent out furnished houses by the week. They are all bills paid, full kitchen, washer dryer, cable wifi. It's a lot of work though. I charge what local motels charge, $400 a week for a 2BR, $600 for a 3BR. Refinery contractors are my only tenants.
