    Regularly straining my back

    Hey guys,

I've been working out for about 5 years now pretty regularly, and I'm also relatively well built by this point. I like to think that I'm somewhat experienced when it comes to lifting, form etc, but for some time I had a particular issue I was unable to deal with.
Basically my issue is that I strain my back on a regular basis, but it never happens while I'm working out. The strain usually happens within 1-2 days after my workout while doing regular stuff like walking, sitting etc. At some point of the day I just start to feel a small but sharp pain when moving my upper back or torso in a certain way. The pain would then get stronger over the day and becomes pretty much unbearable by the time I go to bed. Then it starts to heal after 2-3 days or so and by day 5 or 6 the pain is almost gone completely.
I would also like to mention that this isn't happening on the same exact spot each time, but usually somewhere within 10cm of my spine on the left or right upper side of my back. It rarely happens on my lower back.

Since I live in Germany it's pretty much impossible to get an appointment at an orthopedist within less than a month, and each time I experienced this problem, my back would heal before I could get to the doctor (so I'm unable to tell which movements cause pain etc.)

Does anyone know what could be the cause of this issue? As I said the strain never happens while I'm working out, but the following day instead while doing regular stuff, without making any sudden movements or lifting anything heavy etc. I'm also 21 y/o btw. but with this recurring issue I sometimes feel like I'm 60.

    Thanks in advance!

It's most likely a strained muscle but I suggest getting it checked by a specialist.
