Myfitnesspal is often way off, in reality there is no good alternative to actually weighing and measuring things yourself. Over time you will get used to it.

I used to say this when I was obese. "I can just look at a slice of pizza and my weight will increase". In reality, it was bull**** and I was shocked when I started tracking things properly; you are eating "blind" when you aren't tracking your calories properly. You are a slave to your own appetite without doing this, and your appetite is what got you here in the first place.

Don't fool yourself - you are the easiest person to fool.
I used to think the same. I was like I bet it’s the carbs that are keeping me fat and not helping me lose weight. Now I’m eating over 200g of carbs a day and steadily losing and weighing almost everything. Makes the world of a difference

You're eating more than you think you are. Track everything you eat and stop being lazy and the weight will drop off you. Only person you're fooling is yourself. weigh everything, stick to it and stop giving daft excuses. There's some good logs here in the fat loss section who started around your weight and made great progress by doing things the right way and being consistent

OP, it's pretty common. Heavy guys say "I just don't eat that much..." and skinny guys say "No matter HOW MUCH I stuff myself, I just can't gain weight".

You are eating more than you think/realize.

correct. They don’t do a weekly average but with the tracking below its 2,000 because of Thursday

    M. 3000
    T. 3500
    W 3800
    T. 2000
    F. 4000
    S. 4500
    S. 3500

This is a 3,500 calorie daily intake

I've dropped 45 pounds before in 16 or so weeks on EC stack doing exactly what i doing now, except a less active workout program.

Math worked perfectly, but everyone tells me that's impossible...

I wouldn't do that again. Too harsh on the nervous system.

    I've never lost weight otherwise.

I believe you lost weight on it but that is because you ate less due to the appetite suppression its supposed to give you. Track your weight and daily calories and get a log put up and do it the right way for sustainability and your health. I'll follow your progress

    Guess I was lying.

    Down to 305.8 today.

Started at 312-315, 5.5 weeks ago.

    I guess I shouldn't bitch about 1.5 pounds a week.

I knew **** was going to come off this week big time, was stagnant for 7 days.

Try weighing yourself once every 2-3 weeks. Too much variability can happen (i.e. sodium intake, inflammatory responses, etc.), even within a week.

No. Less data will not help accuracy. Weight every day, same time, same conditions (like on awakening, before food or water, after voiding.) More data points will give you a MUCH better understanding of trends.

Hahaha excuse me while I take a void.

If you DO weigh yourself everyday OP, your weight will fluctuate daily so you need to use a rolling average and there are apps for this
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough

That’s not enough to measure average changes...

    Down to 302, so that’s 11 pounds in 8 weeks. About 1.2-3lbs a week

Met with a nutritionist, he said don’t change anything, told me not to be a retard about trying to hit 2 pounds a week. Just be patient and keep at it enjoying the pound and a bit a week.

Bought a scale and weigh everything but veggies. Was pretty close over all. Wasn’t off as much as you guys thought.

Weight comes off every other week, never weekly which is kind of funny, the second week workouts feel tougher forsure compared to the previous week, but without fail the scale moves down.

Ive been running a nearly straight conditioning program, lots of body weight type exercises, prowler, ball throw etc.. ive really been enjoying it compared to lifting for strength, I feel really good the next day and I’m ready to go again. Don’t feel beat and like I got hit by a bus.

Going to run the same program with adjustments for another 8 weeks. See if we can get 14-15 pounds off this time.

I have a feeling weight loss is going to accelerate for me as I get smaller, it did last time, as my sleep improves, absolutely everything else improves.

Off because of information you provided. Or is it always someone else who is at fault?

You need to weigh everything that you eat.

Veggies too, they aren't "Calorie free".

Example: Peas (steamed with no oil, butter or sauce) have 67 calories per 100 grams, Corn 110 cal per 100 grams, Etc.

or if you don't weigh them, at least count the calories from them. using luclin's example, a 300g bag of peas is around 200 calories. if you eat around a third of it each time, it's ~70 calories to your intake

at least that's how i count my veggies, never really used a scale

Been weighing everything, staying between 1900-2100 Cals.

Back up to 306, stuck for 2 weeks now.

I don’t want to take away more calories, but I may up my cardio, add another 20 mins per day, some variety of liss.

If it’s stuck for another week, will go down to 1700 cals

Last two weeks, lifts on this program increased in weight, so I may be adding muscle/composition changes, sleep is always poor and was worse last week. Stress has been high lately.

My gym doesn’t have a treadmill or a spin bike because the owner doesn’t believe in them. (It’s a strongman/power lifting gym) I like the treadmill now that it’s cold outside, but I’m not going to buy another membership just to use it. Stair master is already in the program, but sometimes I just want a nice long brisk walk on the treadmill

300 lbs and not losing weight on ~2000 calories, hmm... you need to get your thyroid checked or something

and this is 100% trusting that you are counting correctly like you say you are

nutritionist says don’t lose 2 lbs a week at your weight. You must have gotten him or her at a fire sale for nutritionists and now you want to lose 2 lbs a week. None of your posts make any sense.
