As a Christian, should I run towards a party that advocates and promotes the killing of unborn children, that advocates for gay marriage ? Or believe in the settled science of climate change but gender is fluid and transcends science and biology. Can you politely show me anywhere in the Bible where it mentions that the above is spoken about in a positive way & deemed to be acceptable by Jesus & that would help all humanity, and please use the words of Jesus to show me where he spoke about and advocated for them & commands mankind to follow them based upon him setting the standard for morality

I look forward to seeing his exact words

    What branch?

Christianity is about Jesus, plus nothing minus nothing

Everyone of Jesus's disciples were sinners, in fact everyone is a sinner and the bible states this. There's no president that could live sinless.

Christians don't worship presidents, they select a president that would have the same Christian beliefs or SUPPORT those same Christian beliefs.

Yes. The framers of the US Constitution were careful to separate church and state after the nightmare of Henry VIII, Bloody Mary, the Crusades etc. The writers of the US Constitution paid homage to God and proclaimed this as a Nation Under God, but the separation of church and state is uniquely American.

The separation of Church and State is a great point. I really didn't have any issues with Trump in that regards, even though he supported Catholic faith (I don't think Catholic is healthy), religion in politics is dangerous, but I see different evils in each religion, so I go with the lesser evil.

As a human being I have a problem with abortions and sharia law, so I don't want a president that supports those.

The right to freedom of religion is still important, but there is a line on forcing others, my wife wants to go to church, she wants me to go. I won't go to a church that knocks on doors and harasses people or forces you to confess to a sinner and believes in purgatory, and others prayers gets one out of purgatory, to many go because someone tells them, you gotta go, that's not FAITH.

yeah, but Jesus's disciples repented, in fact, the demand to repent was at the core of Jesus's message. So, no, yo boy Trump did not repent, he just continued to break the law and sin left and right lol

Interesting, As a Christian your more comfortable with the incoming administrations policies and values, just kind of gloss over some of the things I mentioned above, in regards to the Separation of Church & State, there is NOTHING in the Constitution that mentions or implies that, it does state that there is to be a {freedom of religion}, to worship or not as one feels free to choose, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” It does however though mention "unalienable rights", Where do those come from ? and in fact the Declaration, the foundational precursor to the Constitution written 11 Years before the Constitutional convention in 1787 mentions God 5 times, “firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence “Nature’s God,” “Creator,” and “Supreme Judge,” The Declaration of Independence drafted by Thomas Jefferson and edited by his fellow delegates, contains a theory of rights that depends on a Supreme Being, not man, for its validity.

The Declaration states that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

In stating that people’s rights were given to them by their creator, the Continental Congress endowed those rights with a legitimacy that knows no parallel in mortal sources. What God has given to man is not enjoyed at the sufferance of any monarch or government. The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution do not therefore represent competing views of the existence of a Supreme Being or its role in American political life. They are two sides of the same coin. When read together, the Declaration and Constitution tell us that the people’s rights are divine in origin, sacred and unalienable, while governments are human in origin, answerable to the people and dependent entirely on their consent.

Human mind is too small to understand G-d and the Universe. At best, we can offer interpretation - aka our understanding of it. You are not a monk who dedicated his whole life, mind and body to try to get that. You didn’t go to the dessert for 40 days and 40 nights on a water fast try to meet Jesus. You are just like the rest of us, sinners And above is just a sentence form the Bible ...
